At 3-3 I'd had enough so went for a cycle ride along the Ravensbourne and through Ladywell park. I heard my phone beep and knew it would be the fourth goal, when I saw it was for us I punched the air and quietly said "YESSSSS!!!!!!!"
I was in the crowd and went absolutely mad, hugged most supporters near me. Miguel Llera was sitting near us for most of the game but had moved away by the time the winner went in, otherwise I'dve given him a big hug as well.
Having missed the first 20 mins due to gridlock on the M6 (and missing Jackson's goal) it certainly made the very long journey worth it.
pissed the missus right off by jumping all over the couch screaming "yes yes yes!!"-ozaddick.
Hope the neighbours realised you were listening to the football oz.
Serously, great thread VFR really enjoyed reading everyone of the posts. It makes you realise just how passionate we fans are about our great club. Again very well done.
Was out and about in Greenwich checking the twitter updates and by the time i got home i knew the game had just finished. I scrolled up and up and up.
Then like most on here, punched the air.
Got out of the car, and gave my girlfriend/neighbours a chorus of "4-3 to the Londoners"

[cite]Posted By: Choice[/cite]Having been kicked out of Brunton Park at half time, we managed to get back into the Carlisle end and celebrated the winner amongst the home fans
The stewards were militant, I was told after 20 mins that I was on a last chance and being monitored by CCTV because I was 'being a bit animated like'.
Total bull$h£%.
I always find the stewards at northern away games have a problem with London teams.
They always seem to be really short and just pathetic really.
Did they not take into account you chaps had travelled all that way , spent all that money to watch a footy game.
If Leeds take 3000 there i bet those stewards aren't so big then.
But well done to all the fans that went up there.
Its people like you all who make this club what we are.By all accounts you lot pushed us over the line.
Seriously proud to be an Addick going into work tomorrow.
Made my weekend.
I love this thread, the thought occurs that it would make a great little short film. All these little scenes are great little reminders that after all the crap we've been through, we are all joined together in support. Great stuff.
I was in a hotel room in xian china listening on cafctv player... Stared at thecomputer until I really believed it, punched the air and mouthed 'yes, yes, yes!!!'
I had just landed in Paris after a 30-hour journey from Oz, turned on my phone on the plane and let out a clearly audible, "What the f+++" when the result came onto the screen!
Was out for most of the game. Text conversation with the missus as follows:
Mrs: Charlton winning 1-0 JJ
Me: Not getting excited yet
Mrs: 2-0 Joe
Me: Still not getting excited
Mrs: 3-0 a little excited !
Got in the car to drive home, by the time i had gone through a set of traffic lights it was 3-2
Me: THAT'S why i didn't get excited
Got home and was staring at the Sky Soccer Saturday rolling results. Turned to her and said "I'm just sitting here waiting for it to come up Car..." as i said it come up Carlisle 3 "I knew it, i f******* well knew it ! I just said it, didn't i just say it"
Waiting for the final result, was feeding one of my babies at the time, Jeff goes 'theres been a seventh goal at Brunton Park' and i knew from the way he was selling it that it was us, i'm going "its us, its us, we've won' mrs going panicky 'how do you know, they haven't gone there yet' and then it come up 4-3.
Both got babies in hand, both gave off a controlled 'YES, get in there' coupled with rather feeble Tim Henman fisting (leave it Dave Mehmet) and cheesy grins all round.
Was sat at Canning Town DLR trying to get back to Greenwich, watching the Sky Sports app on the iPhone whilst listening to music...let out a loud 'thank f*ck' then realised that everyone else on the platform was now looking at me..I just smiled at them and put my head down.
[cite]Posted By: BR7_addick[/cite]I was in row D, I jumped over four seats and smashed both my shins on the seats but it didn't hurt as I was buzzing, superb day and result.
I came across 4 UDI's yesterday (unidentified drinking injuries) from the game
1. gashed right shin and huge bruise
2. bruising on left calf
3. re occuring bruised left knee
4. new bruise on right inside knee

I was doing this! haha
are you the guy in the shark costume?
we interviewed the guy in the blue baby outfit (vid) 3 hrs before kick off at the pub next to carlisle station. there were 3 of them in fancy dress that came down from scotland, 2 of them are celtic/charlton fans and the other st mirren/charlton.
they adopted charlton as their english club about 5 years ago and their first game was hartlepool away last year
Just entered the bar at the STC club as we scored - plenty of cheers although one Millwall bloke was clearly dissapointed which was nice. Immediately checked for the Millwall result, safe in the knowledge that we had won, palace had lost but sadly the hat trick that is required for a perfect Saturday was not completed. Went and reported the Charlton result to the changing room i had departed, the bulk of whom are Charlton. Sadly our only palace fan left last year so couldn't taunt him and no Millwall in the team so i didn't bother making up a defeat for them. Back into the bar and watched West Ham lose. All in all, not bad as we'd just won as well. Roll on Saturday. Hopefully Anyinsah is our saviour.
I was getting changed after our match. I said to my manager (a CAFC supporter) whats the score so he said 2-0. It was only until i had got out in to the bar after my shower that i checked my facebook and loads of my pals were like 3-0!!! Superb...then 3-2!!! FFS Parky....Then 3-3 ggrrrrr, PARKY OUT, then i saw a 4-3 WTF get in Charlton!!!!! So i had to go online and have a little read. Quality stuff
Was in the kitchen really disappointed that we'd blown our big lead with the tv on loud in the front room just to hear if there was any late news. Jeff was giving it the usual build up and I moved closer to the front room hoping that it was our goal then just saw the caption "Carlisle 3 Charlton 4" and just started jumping around the front room going nuts, my 5 year old daughter joined in thinking it was some sort of game then just gave her a proper squeeze hug after that.
Well happy they didn't get the score wrong like they do sometimes or we let in another.
Choice,Was that you getting chucked out by the stewards at half time next to the queue for the hamburgers/pies? Four or five people in the queue were wondering what had happened as they hadn't seen you do anything to justify getting chucked out!

Yes me and Choice both, the stewards were absolute pric*s,only plus side to is was we got in the home end and went mental when we scored in injury time
Should complain really and try and get some kind of refund cos as far as they were concerned they chucked us out after a 350mile journey for doing nothing, the only reason im not bothered is cos we got to see the game and it made it all so much sweater seeing the boys celebrating with our fans from the home fans perspective. But they wernt to know that!
Was en route to the Isle of White and my mate in the back was getting text updates. At 3-0 up I was talking of promotion and Parky was never really that bad. At 3-3 Parky was a big C and we were getting relegated and at 4-3 I went fooking nuts and my mate had to take over steering. Very dangerous waiting on Charlton scores whilst driving at speed.
Was actually at Music Together with my little 'un. LookOut was there too with his son. I was checking Twitter throughout in between breaks or during chaos when I thought no one was noticing.
At 3-3 I was so fucked off, that the smile of my little girl was just about keeping me sane.
At 4-3 I heartily joined in with the singing like I was on X Factor.

Privately yes, but publicly he had to keep up the facade of being a Liverpool fan with a liking for Ipswich.
Love it.
