Sorry but it's ludicrous that's it's taken all this time to come up with this diagnosis. A simple exploratory arthroscopy would have picked it up and he should have been back ages ago.
[cite]Posted By: Chris_from_Sidcup[/cite]Has there been a club more unluckier with injuries than us?
Off the top of my head i can think of Poole, Rowett, Matty Holmes, Andy Hunt, Cory Gibbs, Youga. Even Mendonca was forced to retire because of his hip.

Not sure about that but this is another sickening blow. I was sort of resigned to his absence until the encouraging snippets about his recovery. In the context of this season it's not quite like losing someone who's currently on top of their game, but denies us the possibility of bringing someone back who definitely was, and could've brought an entirely different dimension to our attack as much as the defence. Both Fry & Jackson are competent enough for this division so I don't see the need to rush into a replacement. We'll just have to get on with it but I'm gutted, not least because of the obvious waste of resources.
[cite]Posted By: MrLargo[/cite]He also declared himself available for Millwall away last season despite not being fully fit. Alwaqys comes across as a top man in the interviews with him that I've read, and certainly not a money grabber.
Hope we've not seen the last of him in a Charlton shirt.
Hear hear. (Or is it "here here"? I've never known)

I can understand that the injury looked a routine knee injury at the time which would take about 6 weeks to clear normally. But when Youga broke down during his March comeback, something was evidently very wrong.
So why didn't they do the exploratory keyhole surgery back then?

Bring Borrowdale back.
I heard that he played a reserve game for us a couple of weeks ago. Not sure whether it was true or not.
I don't think he played for us but against us for QPR Ressies .
I agree Borrowdale would be excellant ,he is available as Colin has said he can leave but I guess it comes down to finance
