I can't imagine him getting anything other than a decent reception, her served us well during his time at Charlton, he deserves at least a decent round of applause.

Agree with that a good servant and deserving of a good reception whenever he comes, but nothing special over and above that, plus he got a good reception when he was an unused sub with Leicester.
[cite]Posted By: BlackForestReds[/cite]
[cite]Posted By: jazzyjazzyjazzy[/cite]I will be giving him the clap for sure. good player and did us proud.
That's one way of stopping him I suppose.
Yeah, can't imagine Richard Keys or Jeff Stelling saying "Tonight the teams are missing Christian Dailly with a fractured eye socket, Kyel Reid with a sore hamstring and Radostin Kishishev with the clap."
I hope he plays like he did for us. Runs around like a headless chicken, plenty of misplaced passes, total inability to control the ball, and a couple of shots that go out for throw-ins.
That will do fine. In fact I would feel cheated if showed any footballing skills.
Chirpy Red I assume that you are joking. He gave 100% for us. Which is a lot more than can be said for some of the players that Dowie and Pardew brought in.
Curbs rated him and picked him in over 170 games and when he left we never recovered. We had some good players in our side the year we left the premiership but Kish had already been ditched, possibly a coinidence but maybe not.
I will stand and clap the return of an unsung hero.

LOL. I agree though but he always gave 100% and for that alone I'll give him the round of applause he deserves.

where exactly did Chirpy Red say that he didn't give 100% ? And unsung hero ? Give us a break.
I just think its funny how some people on here don't treat him as an unsung hero like Jpb Junior said. Yet we continue to moan about our current position or what has been for quite a few seasons now!Kish deserves a massive reception! As would any other player from that era!Anyone who doesnt, in my eyes is not a Charlton supporter!
Will be surprised if he gets anything other than a good reception. Not the best player ever but he worked his socks off every week and is the type of player we have perhaps missed since he left.
Get all wishy washy over a very average player just because he always "gave 100%".
Then for ex-players with huge amounts of skill like Parker or DeFoe (ok he never played for the 1st team) we get all nasty and vindictive.
JUDAS! JUDAS! JUDAS!!
To say Kish gave 100% every week makes his performances even worse!
That was his best???
Not saying we give him a hard time, just trying to put things in perspective.

I see where you're coming from but i'd personally rather have 11 average players out on the pitch that put in a full shift and show total commitment to the cause than a bunch of prima donna's who just see us as a stop-gap or a stepping stone to greater things. I want to see hurt on the players face when met with defeat, just as we are.

LOLs Arry.
Presumably Chirpy you do understand why Parker and Defoe get stick at the Valley??
I'm glad people remember Kish fondly - his attitude was first class, just like Brownie and Robbo's was. It's funny though because he got plenty of stick from the faithful. probably the same people who are now on Benno's case.

Blimey that's a bit OTT in terms of praise. He gave 100% yes, he'd run all day/night if he had to, and you'd be hard pushed to find many people who won't give him a clap. But then it's on with the game. To hear you talk about the return of a hero, and how our demise coincided with him going makes it sound like he was a world beater. He wasn't.
The Bulgaria international became a cult hero with some fans during his seven-year stay in SE7, and made 200 league and cup appearances, scoring twice.
He was the second Charlton player to officially leave the Addicks following the club's relegation from the Premiership, joining Leicester City on a two-year deal.
The versatile Kishishev, capable of playing at right-back or in midfield, joined the club back in August 2000, then manager Alan Curbishley paying Liteks Lovech an initial £350,000 for his services.
A move into midfield alongside Scott Parker against Manchester City after Christmas rejuvenated the struggling Addicks in his first season, but he missed almost the entire 2001/02 campaign due to an injury sustained on international duty.
He bounced back to become an important member of the Charlton squad, making more than 30 league appearances in each of his next four seasons, and formed the base of a sparkling midfield triangle that included Alexei Smertin and Danny Murphy and sent the club soaring to near the top of the table in the early part of 2005/06.
Valued for his endless endeavour, honest toil and selflessness, Kishishev - for whom Charlton eventually paid £1.35m - once lost 10 pounds in one game against Birmingham City, which was testament to his ceaseless efforts on behalf of the team.
But he made only six starts in the Premiership during the club's last season in the top flight, four of which came after the appointment of Alan Pardew, and he finished the campaign on loan at Leeds, unsuccessfully attempting to prevent the Yorkshire club from being relegated to the Championship despite rave reviews for his displays.
Kish is one of my fav CAFC players of all time. He worked so hard off the ball. I used to love watching him just trail attackers from box to box and touchline to touchline. I also read that one year, Kish lead the Prem overall in total yards traveled. Great player and a great man. We enjoyed a beer after a Prem win over Newcastle one day. Great Bloke and i wont be upset if he does smack a 45 yarder at the Valley. I hope everybody gives him a great reception cuz he deserves it...

Why would anything else be done special?

How old is he?
