  • [cite]Posted By: Big William[/cite]Actually, I withdraw my previous entries, just remembered Paul Miller's sliderule pass to Les Briley which he proceeded to cannonball into our net from about 35 yards. Set the seal on a particularly dismal afternoon that did.

That was all in the first half hour if I remember correctly, 0-3 down against the scum in the top flight , very painful

[cite]Posted By: Big William[/cite]When Andy Petterson had a bad day it was really baaad
Definitely. However, I still maintain that he made the best save I have ever seen against Palace at home

Agreed, he had no right to keep that out. If that was in the top tier SKY would still be replaying it now
  • Individual errors? various interpretations. A wrong pass into the opposition's possession that led to conceding a crucial goal (bailey v swindon at home in the play-off) or a lack of concentration/bad positioning (mark fish v leeds at home for a robbie keane goal/ sam sodje v wba for roman bednar's goal 4-2 loss). Or maybe a good chance missed (dickson's one-on-one bottle job v watford away). These are specific examples though, as for players who contribute to a large number of errors, I guess it can depend on who you see as the worst player(s) in the team and then anything they do wrong becomes intensified in the critic's eyes...on that basis the glov'nor (Diawara) wasn't too clever, but as for Traore...
  • [cite]Posted By: Big William[/cite]Dave Shipperley's own goal from the half way line against Orient (later reprised by Steve Dowman)

Do I remember that! ..... started the rot that took us from a safe 13th at Easter to relegated on the last day of the season.

Traore had an art for the spectacularly bad errors of judgement

My mate who used to have a season ticket at anfield (lives near me) said when we signed him between laughs 'witness the shitness'

I think Robbie makes quiet a few ricks[/quote]

Sound positioning and didn't put a foot wrong at Exeter.[/quote]

Im not basing my opinion on just one game.....
