I will hold my hands up to being one of those who have ridiculed their crowds in the past but let's be honest what does it really matter. We get 16/17k in league one, Millwall got 13k in the championship and Wigan got 16k in the premier league. So would you rather get decent crowds in league one or sh*t crowds in a higher division, i know where i'd rather be.

I think 13,000 is pretty reasonble for a championship team, good few teams don't break 10,000 and not many break 20,000. In Europe, 2nd tier football wouldn't get those crowds.
Jesus, can someone tell me why this thread exists? Why it matters how many fans are in their ground? Are people clinging on to the last little one-upmanship we've got over Millwall at the minute? We get a few more fans through the turnstiles? Because from where I'm sitting the most important thing is how our teams are doing on the pitch? I just don't get it.
Currently they're a league above us and looking pretty strong to stay there (even though it is early days) and it's our turn to take some stick. Everyone lauding it up over a poncy attendance is just a bit pathetic, we should be spending more time concentrating on ourselves and how we can join them in the league above.
A thread about the size of a Millwall crowd? Surely the bottom of this particular barrell has been scrapped many a time by now?
Charlton are currently a bigger club than Millwall - there you are. Thats what you want to hear isn't it? Mainly due to the relative success you've had over the last 10 years or so. Had we been promoted in 2001, and maintained a status in the Prem then things might have been different. I believe we're back at our level, and attracting the size of crowds we should be attracting. Who gives a f**k whether we're bigger or smaller than you, palace, or anyone? We're financially sound, and on the up. That'll do me.
Shifts in club/crowd sizes don't happen over one season. We'd probably have to maintain a league status higher than you for the next 3/4 years to be considered 'bigger' than Charlton. And unless you're in the sh*t - really in the sh*t - i can't see Charlton slumming it in League One for too long. So rest your pretty heads in the knowledge that business as usual is likely to be resumed over the next season or two. I certainly wont lose any sleep over that.

Mmmmmm :-/
I wonder if their away support is less than a third of ours :-)
I wonder if it matters . . . :-)
Speaking personally, it wouldn't be in Wigan.
