Orient away (NOW PAY ON THE DOOR)

  • just bought 3 and the woman in the ticket office said we had sold 'about half' of our 1500 allocation, and nearly 9000 season tickets.
  • [cite]Posted By: kings hill addick[/cite]It's mainly because it's on TV. I went last year and I've had gone again but not if it's on TV. It's already £40 a month for Sky, we're not interested in paying another £40 for tickets.

Same as KHA, would prefer it not to be on the telly then I could justify the money.....
  • I can reason with the SKY excuse but this was easily our best away day last year plus its nice and easy for me from Liv St and sort of on the way home.

Hopefully a few City/Canary Wharf boys will have a few beers Friday lunch and go on the night.
  • [cite]Posted By: CafcAndy[/cite]Don't see why people wouldn't go because it's on Sky.

Staying home and watching it on tv, whilst saving the money for anon televised game mean you get to see Charlton away twice!
  • last nights result is going to improve sales :(
  • Where are most of our fans going drinking this time round? Ended up at the Coach and Horses last time. Was alright but wondered if anyone can recommend anywhere better.

Birkbeck Tavern is mentioned on one of the ground sites. Anyone know if it is any good?

    LOL!

where's Ooh Aah - was spouting some nonsense this morning that there would be less than 1500 in attendance

will be comfortably over 2000, which is more than Millsmall took there last season...

to be fair that's pretty cracking support for a game live on the box.

I went to The Birkbeck last season. It was big & has a large decent garden. But is prob a 25 min walk to the ground & few customers.
So I left after an hour as was bored & went to Coach & Horses (5 min from ground), which was rammed with Charlton.
  • 1424 tickets sold
  • Heathcote is a good pub with a beer garden too, best to go to Leytonstone station, when you come out of the barriers there is 2 exits out the station take the right exit then when you come to the main road, turn left its about 5 mins walk, under the bridge. the ground is about a 10 minute walk through the back streets.

I was thinking more along the lines of O'Neils on Leytonstone High Road and near the roundabout.

I only know all this cos my ex used to live up that way, so it'll bring back some not good memories.

Oh, and KFC for dinner, k?
  • Birbeck is where the Orient normally drink.
  • Decided I can't afford Orient & Huddersfield so opted for the latter. Was part of the 2,000 strong last year and would like to visit the San Galpharm.
  • no Nathan we are going to the coach and horses for some atmosphere
  • [cite]Posted By: Mike[/cite]no Nathan we are going to the coach and horses for some atmosphere

  • you got your dole come through? or gonna have be friday? Yeah well we can go O'neils but finish off at the Coach and Horses I think, should be plenty of Charlton there
