I've downloaded them but they weren't coming out very loud when i plugged my iphone into my car.
Might need to do these with headphones :-(
Only heard the first so far though and Steve Brown was really great value I thought. Frank and honest and seemed he wanted to come back to the club to work there. Loved it when he said he was trying to con the ref to avoid the red card - fair play for admitting it though!
WSS they wil be a a week or so behind the original release, the show is live on the Sunday then the recording of that is on CAFC Player usually the Thursday after, the podcasts will be out as soon as they are edited down to the shorter format. Also worth noting that from this weekend we have a dedicated phone line, so non -Skype users can ring in on their own phones, details to follow on the OS today at some stage.
Great that it's on Itunes but i do hope they eventually go on a bit quicker as if they are a week or so behind the discussion become a bit dated and not so relevant.
We would love to get them out earlier, but its finding the time for members of the team, it takes quite a bit of time for a member of the team to edit it down from 2 hours to 30 minutes, we are all volunteers and the time we have is limited.
Lots of things are possible, but these things take time.
The relaunch of the show, when the podcast was first mooted, was in August, and it's taken around three months of serious effort to get us to the current point where we have now set up the podcast facility.
The most important thing was to get everything up and working, which we've done. The next step will be to try to ensure that the podcasts are available in the week following each show so it's nice and topical, and probably improve the production quality of the podcast. On that front, it would be helpful to receive feedback, either on these pages or to charltonlive@gmail.com.
That said, it's not going to happen overnight. I think it needs to be appreciated that the Charlton Live team are volunteers giving up their time completely free of charge to provide additional coverage of the club.
The more people involved, the less work required by those volunteers, the more effort that can be dedicated to the show/podcast and the better it will become, so I know I speak for the Charlton Live team when I say that they'd welcome anyone who's interested in helping out with the show getting in touch.
[cite]Posted By: Folev the red[/cite]Seeing as im missing tonights show, does anyone know when they are put back on cafc player?
Depends when Terry has transferred them from Mini disc to Hard disk!! I would think Thurs/Fri this week. Will say that it's not easy doing a 2 hour show when you haven't a match to discuss - However - I would recommend that you listen to our interview with Damian Walters. Epic stuff and a proper hero.
The music mix is down to season ticket holder Bob Lawrence, who also produces our adverts and put to gether our initial studio for us, he has a few old gems such as a version of Red Red Robin the team ran out to at Selhurst Park on a few occasisons....amongst other things. thought Damian's story was astonishing...what an inspiration. Glad you enjoyed the show.
Its great to have Charlton Live as a podcast on iTunes.
The only thing I'd say is it would be better if they could sort out their sound levels. The guys doing the show are so quiet you need to have the volume right up which means when their jingle comes through - CHARLTON LIVE - you either rip out your ear buds to stop your ears bleeding or you jump out of your skin and swerve off the road if you're driving.
That's great news, but last time I was listening whilst driving (and I live in New Zealand) I almost drove off the side of the road and down a 500m cliff! Its not like driving down the A2; when you're on our type of small roads there's no chance of falling asleep if you want to get home in one piece. ;)
Also thanks very much for doing the podcast it makes those of us far from home feel that little bit closer. Funnily enough, there's not much coverage of CAFC on NZ news and sport.

Yes, if I can reiterate this. Thanks for the programmes - they are great, but the jingles are just too loud.

The bit at the end about his kicking really hit a nerve. ;-)
Fantastic stuff, downloading it now.

Hope the quality and the sound are high...

The music the players will be running out to tomorrow is just amazing.
Good work chaps!

Then again is it our way of making sure you don't fall asleep?? ;-)
