  • If it does all go wrong tonight, please can people not cry. I always point and laugh at fans on the TV who are crying at the end of a game and I would hate to have to laugh at Charlton fans sitting near me.

See this is what i don't understand and upsets me. This place has never been the cauldron of negativity some people try and paint it to be. Indeed the consensus from comments outside of this forum regarding CL is that the thrust of the forum has always been overly supportive.

When you have hundreds of people posting views, it is a given that not everyone is going to see the same as you. That doesn't make your view right and the other one wrong, or vice versa, its just the way it is.

Just scan read. Concentrate on the posters and the comments you feel you can allign to, and skip other the rest without taking their comments seriously. The great thing with everyone having their say is that YOU can always provide balance if you disagree with something, and i think this forum has always been well-split with views, and by and large played out in a relatively respectful way.

If people stopped posting because they know there are going to be views they disagree with, then it will lose that balance. And if those people who are more than likely to be balanced and supportive stop posting after a bad result, that's the same as the ranters who get accused of disappearing when things go well, no ?

Come on, don't take it all too seriously guys.[/quote]

so with you saying people can scan read, i will never have a post read again ;-(

Stay behind at the end are applaud the team.

Ok we might not have made wembley / got promoted but we got very close. if only a couple of those shots that hit the woodwork had gone in it would be a different story.

Many people thought we would only make mid table or even be relegated to miss out by only 2 points was a good effort

I won't be booing but I can't promise I'll be hanging around to give them a round of appluse either.

you really are joking aint you Danny ?

I was pleased with the result on friday then when I looked at the forum saturday morning it was full of the usual negativity.

There are plenty of others that think the same and there's no smoke without fire

I too will avoid the forum for a while if we go out tonight
