  • 20,500 is brillant
  • Back in the seventies, in division 3 we never averaged anywhere near 17,000...so I for one am delighted with the crowds we get....better than I ever expected
  • this will near on sell out
  • Obviously i would like the game to sell out, but as long as we are still in the tie after tonight, then the atmosphere is gonna be quality whatever the attendance.
  • obviously would like a near on sell out but if we get more than 24k i will be happy, but then again the noise level is more important
  • Unless we get turned over by 3+ goals tonight then there will be no way there will be a spare seat in the house. Atmosphere will be electric, we had a good warm up with Leeds.
  • Airman. What has been the average "walk-up" this season. I imagine it's been close to 4,000 so it does bode well I think.
  • does that figure include swindon?

less than that. More like 2000 but Airman will have the precise figures.
  • think so vally11 but swindon still aint sold home or away yet.

  • If i were going on Monday i certainly wouldnt get a ticket on the night... did you see queue before Leeds. what a waste of drinking time.
  • latest swindon figures says they have about 800-900 tickets left for mondays game, but not sure how accurate these figures are
  • I was in that queue as i didnt collect my ticket till late cos of a stag do cancellation. Some bloke walked past shouting ''where you been all season''. I wanted to hit him.

Yeah that did come to mind, but i was half way through a Floyd Road belly burger and had me mouth full. Also by the look of him, that comment would reflect badly on me.

Lets see how we get on tonight, money is still tight for some people especially if they are bringing the kids so they are probably waiting to see tonights result, if we win, draw or lose by the odd goal I think the tickets will be flying out the door over the weekend.

  • Given that the match is on monday it's not bad at all.
  • As long as we get over 24500 I'll be happy. That's what it takes to make the ground feel full and create an atmosphere, anything more is a bonus.
  • depends on the result tonight, if favourable then close to sell out imho.
  • We will get capacity, I can telll......
  • fancy a sell out...would be great.

Wot others have said... good result tonight and the chance to play at Wembley for the winner, then believe me that figure will be well short come game night!!

How good would it feel to sing all the old Wembley songs at The Valley... god i hope so (heaven)
  • Huddersfield had only sold 13,500 as of 5pm yesterday for their home leg.
  • I'd be quite happy to play in front of only a couple of pensioners & dog walkers if it meant we made it to Wembley and then grabbed promotion.
We would all love to see the Valley full again but not many tier 3 teams pull in 27,000+.
As a one off, some non regulars are probably going to show up on Monday but generally it'll be the same people who came to the recent Norwich and Leeds games I think.
