[cite]Posted By: Dazzler21[/cite]Fingers crossed for you Weegie!
I cant make it tonight due to 'finanicial constraints' so hope you enjoy the game even if it means missing K/O
I apologise in advance if this seems out of order as i don't know your situation, but tonight is our biggest game for god knows how long, surely you could find £17 from somewhere?!

plus travel etc adds up to more like £40-50 so when you say that yeah it is quite hard to find the funds... I could roll off the list of why i'm skint but as i don't know you personally I wont!
Weegie - if all goes pear shaped resort to hijacking the plane and say "take me to LCY" (dunno how you say LCY so you might have to say London City Airport but that could be wasting time" - your choice).
Weegie how are you getting from City? I would ring Charlton cars if i were you and have them a car waiting for you - once you know you're going to take off/land that is. 8858 8070. Tell them the situation tho Mark is millwall he's a good man. Tho you might have booked something already.

i did which surprised me that you would ask If you feel that you have to say sorry if this seems out of order in the first place then it means that you know it is.
There are many things that is fine to discuss but IMO and it is only my opinion if you wanted to ask that it should have been done on a whisper
Is Weegie still travelling home? Last heard they had changed their flights to go to Heathrow so made the game... and then last text they were drowning sorrows in the Oak after. A long old trek for such disappointment.
Yes, a long old trek, but would have been even worse to watch it on TV.
I owe a huge thanks to BA for once. We got to Glasgow airport to find that the London City flight was showing 18.20 departure - we'd only have just been landing on the other side of the river at kick-off. So we managed to cajole/ beg the BA and Servisair staff to switch us onto the 16.20 Heathrow flight. It was showing full, so they kept saying there wasn't anything they could do. But in the end, they managed to book us on standby (which I believe is quite difficult with their security systems etc now), and we got seats as there were a couple of no-shows. Boarded the plane at about 16.18! Incredibly it arrived ten mins early, so we legged it across London via Heathrow Express, Jubilee Line and taxi from North Greenwich. Made it in time for a quick pint on the NU concourse.
Then lived through 2.5 hours of drama and nervous tension. Hence the need to seek refuge in The Oak afterwards!

Did you read the first half of my post?

Brutal outcome, but I bet you were glad to be there regardless...glad it all (well, save one crucial factor) worked out.
