[cite]Posted By: Chirpy Red[/cite]I never leave early because then you'd miss the final scores from the Prem and TBH that's all I'm interested in........
[cite]Posted By: floydandharvey[/cite]Decided to sit in the West Lower for the first time ever. Usually go in the East but there's a really nasty chav contingent in there nowadays (guess they was always there, but I didn't notice them so much when the stand was fuller). Some fat lads were giving the directors full on verbals right through the second half - "let's keep Parky for the stability you said, is this effing stable enough for you." I thought Steve Waggott was going to cry. I never realised before how ugly he is. Poor chap.

At home to Blackburn when Friedel scored, kicked an empty seat walked out, heard the roars and came running back to cheer Jensen's winner. Never left early after that, serves me right I guess!
Unfortunately, it has slmost become the norm for me. Not proud of it - I can sort of put up with crap football, but it is the cluelessness and lack of ability to change our pace of game that gets to me. We have no judgement on shooting - goal shy in good positions then a central defender will try and bury one from 50 yards. I am amazed we are still in a play off place, cos I dont think that I have seen us outclass one opposition this season.
On Saturdays I never leave before the end, but for midweek games the struggle to get home is often greater than the one on the pitch. So I leave at 9.30 to catch the 22.40 from Marylebone. This has meant missing goals on a number of occasions - once against the Hammers when we were unsure on the platform who had scored as they were there in numbers and last Tuesday when I left at 0 2 and only found out it was 1 2 on the train.
[cite]Posted By: pickwick[/cite]Half the crowd had left when we lost 1-6 to Leeds - it is much more common than we pretend. I was off just after it went 0-2 on Tuesday.
I was in that half that left in that game. The ONLY time i've left a game early.........
.......that was until Tuesday, when I left as the 4th official put the board up for injury time, at 2-0. Not only did I mis our lucky (so i'm told) goal, but Norwich were also drawing as I left. Double whammy!
One of the very few times at "home" was at Selhurst one new years day v southampton - we were losing 4-1 and I had a monster hangover, missed a consolation goal which didn't really put me out. Sneaked out early at a few away games if we went 2 or 3 nil down in the last few minutes, but I usually stay to the bitter end at the Valley, even on Tuesday, although it was a bit lonely up in the upper North by the end.
Don't think I've ever left before the end of a game, except once accidentally when we were playing home games at Upton Park. With a couple of minutes to go, I started shuffling towards the exit and then lingered at the top of the stairs. Bloody WHU steward told me to leave and wouldn't allow me to return to my seat (by which time the final whistle probably would have gone anyway...)
BUT I have left before the end of a season. Couldn't face going to the final two v Blackpool and Norwich last year and went to cricket instead.
Home to Leeds when they put 6 past us - I left after their 5th and missed their last goal, so I still have never seen a team score more than 5 goals in a game
We played Carlisle on a Friday night back in the 80's. Was 0-0 at half time was shite, so left. It Finished 0-0.
We played Man City on a Sunday live on the Telly. I think it was the one we lost 4-2/ 5-2 something like that. Went to the Oak, rolled up at the turnstyle, thought fuck this ... went and bought a Christmas Tree and decorated it.

LOL. Chirpy you crack me up sometimes...
I suspect they don't need telling !!
It can't hurt to remind them though.
Good decision.

Left Blackpool at 5-2
Left Wolves with a couple of minutes to go when 2-0 down in 2007
you missed the come back it finished 5-3

Aside from that have left only a few seconds before whistle.
