Have you ever left before the end

I never have before tonight. We were a total disgrace. Outclassed again.

  • Ep. H/t at Everton a few years back. And was gone by 85mins tonight.
  • same old poor performance gutted we played like a shower of shi-- crap poxy pony we dont seem to have a clue i thought after sat we might go on a little run but again we lose ground again with everyone winning we could even blow the play offs if that happens then bailey jonjo sam would be the first out the door iv never fancied or liked parky sorry we should have got billy davies in years ago when curbs left but we blew getting him and since dowie we have gone down the pan !! get curbs back until the end of the season lol for his love for the club

new potential managers please send inn your cv the board have to take some action now otherwise we wont get in the play offs southend is a must must win game
  • No. Not even tonight.
  • edited February 2010
shite again cant score goals which is putting pressure on our back four, parky for me hasnt got a f-----g clue the way he sets his team up etc and when he makes changes the man doesnt seem to know what he is doing ,i dont think he is the right man to take us forward and i never have i also think whoever runs our scouting system should be f--ked off out of it cos from what i can see on that pitch someone is doing their job wrong.

and oh yes i did f--k off early tonight not happy at all.
  • Can anyone tell me why Bailey plays soooo deep???

    Parky again for me.
  • clueless we are so fecking easy to play against and have been found out go now parky i will take the role on for the remainder for free
  • Not done so in years but was gone by 82mins tonight..a real wrist slasher of an evening.
  • our two wingers were nowhere to been seen second half.
  • i stayed to the end and watched someone boo i've never actually seen someone boo before what a silly noise.
  • Sam pisses me off so much on some occassions, if he watched himself it'd be a knock down to earth... Shimmy shimmy shimmy, lose the ball and sometimes, shimmy shimmy shimmy bad touch and a pass. :O

Pass the ball, make some space, and get some shots.

Didn't care less that I missed our goal, shame we couldn't do that when it mattered.........

  • Anyone see the guy who threw his scarf? What a tosser.
  • i have been going to pretty much every home game for 17 years, plus loads of away games, and have probably in total left about 5 games early, and by early - never before the beginning of stoppage time, and generally when i needed to catch or train or get away for something.

i can remember three of the times - 4nil home win over stockport 1999 - 2000 - missed a goal
last week away at bristol rovers - missed a goal
    tonight - missed a goal
  • friend or defoe - was he sitting in the north upper? i was in the north lower and a scarf landed just in front of after being chucked down

Yes he was, did you post that earlier on GD's facebook page?!
  • Once away to Ipswich, they were leading 3-0, I left before the end and missed Mendonca's goal, never left early again
  • yes tonight
  • Often.
Way i see it ,is that i'm helping pay their wages and they are ultimately giving me jack shit in return. They don't give a f*** and ill be f****d if i'm gonna sit there and watch them taking the pi55 out of me.

bollox to the lot of them!
  • Once when my daughter was going away and I needed to leave sharply to see her off. It was the 2-2 with Man City when Chris Perry scored. I was in the West that day and was on the concourse when the roar went up for his equaliser.

Tonight I was sorely tempted to make it twice!
  • rarely but i did tonight. Missed the goal, couldn't care less.
  • I turned off the BBC Videoprinter when the second goal went in

    u done the best thing
  • yes first time last night in 30 odd years of going
  • Not only did I leave early I arrived 15 mins late as well.
  • left as soon as they scored their second

    Parky again for me.
To fit Racon into the team, the players people were crying out for to add some creativity, and to leave out Semedo as we didn't need a player like him at this level. Semedo and Bailey was far from perfect, but agree Bailey was far too deep and Racon doesn't offer enough to make up for it.
  • I've never left early.

But Racon was playing deep as well. it seemed to be to create a big space in midfield for mooney to drop into, turn and look to create something. Problem was there was bugger all in front of mooney.

I'm not anti-parkinson, but the tactics last night were poor. The pitch was uneven and unpredictable, with one side and the middle especially boggy, so you can't try and play smooth, intricate passing football or let the wingers try and run with the ball. Our best chances came from direct, longer passing in the 2nd half- Akpo's two chances and his goal, as well as mckenzie's chance. We should have known exactly what the pitch was like and changed the game plan.
  • Fair points, but we don't really have the players to play long balls either. Akpo isn't that great in the air nor does he have a good touch. We're much better when we play on the floor. The decision making was poor especially from Reid, and Sam never got in the game, Racon didn't really either. Bailey tried longer passes, but rarely got them right.

haha, not good in the air, and not a good touch - what is the point in playing him again?
  • Never, ever left early.

A game of football lasts 90mins + stoppage time. why leave early? Do you leave a film with 10 mins to go, or not read the last chapter of a book ? No, then why leave a football match early, esp as anything could happen and you may, potentially, miss something that is talked about for years afterwards (ala hales/flanagan punch up)
  • I never leave early because then you'd miss the final scores from the Prem and TBH that's all I'm interested in........
