Elliot -8 outstanding stops
Richardson -6.5
Dailly -6
Llera -8 Outstanding but not quite MOM
Jackson -7 great debut
Sam -6 didnt do enough again....hopefully he will take reids example
Bailey -5.5 Not at his best for me
Racon -7.5 Skilful, but needs to pass first time a bit more often, great skill to set up Mooney
Reid -8.5 Man of the match...shame he pulled up with a sore hamstring 15 minutes towards the end...
Burton -6 Great hold up play, but he really should have scored
Mooney 5 Well taken goal, but lacks punch and pace...wont ever be prolific
Elliot - 9 - mom, three great saves, could have been different story if they hjad taken the lead
Richardson - 7 - our steady eddy
Dailly - 6.5
Llera - 8 - excellant, commanding performance. I've always preferred him to Sodje so hope he can continue to impress
Jackson - 7 - good debut
Sam -6.5 - I'd prefer to see Waggy given a start, more direct and actually plays like a winger
Bailey - 7.5
Racon - 7
Reid - 7 - drifts in out of our games too much, needs to get more involved, cracking goal though
Burton - 7
Mooney - 6.5 - better but still needs to improve imo, does help link midfield and forward but sometimes drop too deep and then takes an age to get up and support Burton
Elliot - 9 Match winner. Richardson - 6 Steady Dailly - 6.5 He was fine. Llera - 8 Excellent. Won his headers, made his blocks and passed the ball into midfield well. Showed he's got some b*llocks (which we knew anyway) Jackson - 7 Passed the ball really well. Had nothing to do defensively. Sam - 6 Wasn't bad but could have got his head up on a couple of occasions. Bailey - 7 Some early passing wasn't good but got better and his double tackle set up the first goal. Racon - 7 Doesn't really tackle (same as Jensen!) but did try to get up for a few headers (not same as Jensen!) Got better as the game went on and did well for the goal. Want to see him do it against strong tackling opposition now. Reid - 7.5 Constant threat. Good strike for the goal (Bobby Charlton always said "just hit the target") Will be crucial for our run in on firmer pitches. Burton - 7.5 Intelligent and unselfish. Badly needs an open play goal though to get him back to his very best. Mooney - 7 Good running and positioning. Control was fine and he showed well for the ball. Clean strike for his goal and the best could be yet to come (shame he's getting a rep for being a bit of a diver though). Wagstaff - 6 Not his fault we didn't get the ball to him enough.
Parky 8 - Hoped he'd take the 2 Sodje's out and bring Llera & MacKenzie in but pleased it worked out for Mooney. Showed bottle dropping Sam Sodje but reckon he knew Llera wouldn't let him down in this game. He was brave and went all out for the win with so many attack minded midfield players in a 4-4-2. Glad he was rewarded with a win...and somehow, with a clean sheet!
Valley pitch 5 - NO criticism of the ground staff (tough winter, budget restraints etc) but that pitch isn't helping our game. The light ball picks up every undulation and makes it hard for players who want to run with it.
