Spot on, could be worse we could be fighting for relegation again. Instead we have a chance to go up still if we can string a run of results[/cite]

More negativity - You see it's all perspective - What you see as being positive, I see as being negative (and vice-versa)![/cite]
I give up with you red, your missing my point here. as i posted to few others who were down, start of season we would of been satisfied with being in the top 6, doesn't mean we should just accept it. Just trying to paint a better picture then it is at the momment, not a crime is it? i always try to take a positive look at things, yes i do think to myself it gets depressing sometimes but things could be worse. thats my mentality, not in anyway negative
[cite]Posted By: Essex_Al[/cite]Typical bird comment, '' we lost, it's not the end of the world''
OF COURSE IT IS!!!!!!!!!
first of all, anyone who knows be knows that I am NOT a 'typical bird', footie, cards, sports in general and even drinking I can give most blokes a good run for their money. Secondly if you think charlton losing means the world is going to end....you seriously need help. sure its upsetting and disheartening but please try and keep things in perspective.
[cite]Posted By: oohaahmortimer[/cite]last two seasons we played in this league(our lowest since entering league football) we got promoted ......at best that is what can happen this year ... these aren't great times for charlton ... sorry to break that news
That is true however, from this point on my opening this thread was misunderstood. I am not saying that we shouldn't feel miserable about our current position and we shouldn't have a little moan but I don't think threads such as 'Can Charlton afford to keep the Valley?' and 'I used to be proud' and so forth are really the right approach to feeling better about the situation.........but maybe its just me being an over sensitive female???....lol
[cite]Posted By: uncle[/cite]Dont know what your all worrying about. I'm dying with the flu but i'm still being positive ;-)
you are doing so well to still have the use of your fingers, obviously a fighter lmao
I'm trying (yes some would say very trying) i dont want to just give up but this is the 3rd day now and i dont think i have long left. Oh well things could be worse :-)
One simple question for you all. At the start of the season would you have taken our current position?
Given our performances recently it's not surprising that there is so much negativity, all we can ask is that the team gives 100%. I honestly believe they do even when the results don't go the way we want. After 12 seconds on Monday night I knew we weren't going to get a win.
So back to my question and my answer is yes. My thought at the start of the season was that we should be in the play-offs. I think results will turn and well get back to winning ways at the weekend. Automatic promotion is looking less likely but it's a crazy league. Who knows?

Chill out SJ, tongue in cheek comment! Still if you're buying, I don't mind a drinking contest in the Lib on Saturday!

unfortunately popping out a few babies in close concession has kind of put me out of the going to matches circuit, however I will be happy to accept your challenge when i get back out there ( i don't but though ;-))
