[cite]Posted By: Chizz[/cite]So you've given up? We can't go up?
We have the players to get promotion but not the manager to get us promoted. Agree?
I can't agree with that. We don't have the strikers for one and I think too many players don't handle the pressure too well. Parky has made mistakes but some of the players aren't doing enough and/or have done some stupid things over the season. Don't see how our squad is as good as Norwich or Leeds, even though it's perhaps just 2 or 3 players making all the difference.
Not a chance of us going up this season now, be surprised if we stay in the play offs to be honest.
Any decent players gone. People on here scoffed when I said we would play in front of crowds of 10,000 this season, The last few homes games have clearly proved that.
7000 - 8000 next year I think! All that and possible administration as well. Not looking good is it!
despite our recent poor run , i'm still pretty certain we'll make the play offs ..... and then it comes down to luck and who knows .....but i'm sure we've used all our play off luck up!
Come on realistically we'll be in the play offs, whether we've got the guts and the heart, and it's down to that as we're certainly a better eleven on paper than Colchester, Millwall, Huddersfield, Swindon or MK, remains to be seen.
I'm surprised we've done as well as we have this season but now we are playing to our level that of an average third division team.
We had a manager for 15 years who made the players play with pride so that the whole was greater than the some of the parts. That was not good enough for some so we are back to the old stagnating Charlton of old.
We have players capable of excelling at this level or the one above but they don't want it enough with one or two exceptions. Why that is I don't know. I thought Parky had got the requisite level of desire in the side when we drew with Swindon with 9 men. The season has gone downhill ever since though with too many players seemingly unable or unwilling to compete. Perhaps tonight the bottle went when they saw what happened to Basey.
I feel gutted. The only consolation is that the last time I felt like this, Doncaster at home last season, I got soaked walking to the car. At least that hasn't happened today.

Parky can't do it without the players and the players can't do it without Parky.

Disagree. Our players have, by and large, looked feeble in all departments (guts, heart, balls and talent) for some long time.

Absolutely 100% spot on !
But forget recent form, the struggle starts here, and IF the players want it enough, then we are good enough to make it.
They all need to have a look in the mirror tonight, and decide to buckle down for the fight.
