    It wasn't Pardew that took the decision to sell Reid.

    Reids influence on us was in spite of pardew i suspect, the guy couldn't organise a defence to save his life.. but this is way old news.

    It is old news however the sale of Reid was a pivotal point of that season and probably cost us a play off place.

    It's easy for people to to take a blinkered view and slag off Pardew but conveniently forget that possible the biggest mistake that was made under his management wasn't down to him.

    Good point about the Reid sale not being down to Pards. In our relegation season though, he totally failed to put a balanced squad together - from memory didn't we go into the season with 2 CBs, no left winger, and 8 or 9 central midfielders?

    Pardew is a deluded fool of the highest order. How he continued to gain employment for big money is anybody's guess.
