THE problems continue to pile up for Peterborough United on and off the pitch.
A 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace left Posh six points adrift at the foot of The Championship, but the build-up to a fourth straight loss was marred by a bust-up between on-loan striker Izale McLeod and club management.
Posh boss Mark Cooper confirmed that McLeod had been left out of the travelling party to Selhurst Park for disciplinary reasons, but declined to explain further.
The Evening Telegraph understands that an attempt to send the 25 year-old back to his parent club, Charlton failed as the League One club are insisting the season-long loan deal is honoured.
McLeod started the first two matches of his loan spell, but, perhaps significantly, he was left on the substitutes' bench for all but the final stages of last Tuesday's defeat by Preston.
McLeod fell out with Millwall manager Kenny Jackett while on loan at The New Den 12 months ago and returned early to Charlton.
Cooper said: "Izale was left out of the squad at Crystal Palace for disciplinary reasons, but further than that I can't comment. The reasons will remain in-house."

Although Cooper has just left there so maybe when they get a new man they'll give McLeod another go!
Agree, Chris.
Posh Board reacting like Charlton's did in the the Dowie/Reed/Pardew era
To be fair they are on a one-way street to Relegation, losing Mackail Smith, McLean and George Boyd and League One stagnation, I can't see anyone queueing up
Blimey
The 2 straight promotions clearly went to his head. Did he seriously think that with crowds of less than 10k and a squad mostly made up of players bought from league 2 or the conference, they would be pushing for the premier league?
It sure would find a lot of space in there.
Maybe we could loan McLeod to Norwich or Leeds?
If I'm a twat at work I get sacked - can this not apply to footballers?
Or sell him for £5m to Southampton
As a serious point though, after the games against Tranmere, Leyton Orient and Hartlepool where we looked uninspired and needed someone to come on and change the game don't you think McLeod would of done it? We've missed pace upfront whether or not that comes from Izale and I've said it before and I'll say it again I don't like Mooney and Burton together upfront and surely you would rather have seen McLeod out there than Mooney against Tranmere?
Didn't we do it last season (also with McLeod) after his bust up at Millwall?
But I doubt Pardew would pay more than £1.5M for him.
I think he said hello to Wayne Bridge's wife.
