  • Elliot - 6 - OK until the injury
Richardson - 6.5 - not quite back to his best but a reasonable performance
Dailly - 6.5 - seems more unsettled that earlier in the season
Sodje - 6 - shame about the OG, didn't think he was at his best but better than Llera
Basey - 6 - got a photo of him after the game with my two kids so thanks for that. Average game though.
Sam - 4.5 - needs a slap to wake him up, very poor
Semedo - 5.5 - he seems to have morphed into his alter-ego, Mr Slow Ponderous Three Touch
Bailey - 6 - Got a 6 because of his goal and shot otherwise it would have been a 5. His passing was poo.
Reid - 7.5 - Major bright spot. Really good debut. Looks a great signing.
Burton - 6 - Works hard but no real end product. Partnership with Mooney not working
    Mooney - 3 - Utter poo
Randolph - 6 - Poor punch, excellent save, reasonable otherwise

Wagstaff - 7 - Decent cross, looked lively
McKenzie - 6 - Couple of half chances. Not brilliant but 100% better than Mooney

  • [cite]Posted By: Scoham[/cite]Good points on Wagstaff and McKenzie exiled, agree about Bailey as well. Was trying to get things going probably a
bit too hard. Didn't notice him shouting at Basey, what was that about? Giving the ball away?

There was a point towards the end when Tranmere broke, can't remember if it was after a corner or from a cross but the upshot was Basey got caught upfield. Bailey obviously felt he was a bit slow getting back - he may have had a point, I didn't watch Basey coming back as they broke down the right (our right). Bailey had a bit of a go at Basey about it which is fine, but he didn't leave it at that and went back a couple of times when play had broken down to have a further go at him. It looked as if he was still chuntering away at Basey as the walked off at the end of the match. It's good to see Bailey showing leadership but I think he got a bit carried away in this instance.
  • Elliot -6- didnt really have anything to do before going off
Richardson -6- some good runs down the channels, but runs into cul-de-sacs a lot
Dailly -7- usual solid game- did what he had to with minimul fuss
Sodje -7- solid again, dominated arially and got on the end of some set pieces. he wasnt at fault for the own goal
Basey -6- decent game, did what he had to do adequately
Sam -5- frustrating performance again, which lacked flair, and seemingly the ability to deliver a single telling cross
Semedo -5- not one of his better games, passing was poor
Bailey -6- same as above, but took goal well.
Reid -8- MOM- some promising signs like the actual ability to cross a football, and some posotive running
    Burton -6- uninspiring performance
    Mooney -5 poor performance
Randolph -6- didnt have much to do. made one error but considering the situation he was always likely to be nervous

Wagstaff -7- didnt have enough time to make much of an impact, but some promising, posotive play, and won a potentially valuable free kick late on
McKenzie -5- did he even touch the ball? if he did i dont remember it

Elliot - 6 Difficult to rate him.
Richardson - 7 Looked fairly solid and was always looking to get forward when the opportunity arose.
Dailly - 6 Not at his most influential but didn't really put a foot wrong.
Sodje - 7 Excellent in the air. Positionally better. Some nice touches and runs with the ball.
Basey - 6 Got caught in possession a few times. His pace was exploited. Otherwise OK.
Sam - 6 Cut inside far too much and was not willing to take on the left back. Not creative enough.
Semedo - 6 Passing let him down and didn't forge a partnership with Bailey.
Bailey - 5 The worst I've seen him play. Passing was atrocious. Tried to play too many killer balls. But got the goal.
Reid - 7 Willing to take on his man and run with it. Got stuck in. Hugged the line well. Showed pace. Good crosses.
Burton - 6 Should have done better with the header at the end. Didn't hold up the ball as well as he can.
Mooney - 4 I can't remember him winning too much in the air. Ran into empty channels. Anticipation was poor.
Randolph - 6 Made some good saves but needless punching when he could have caught the ball.

Wagstaff - 6 Showed some good touches. Great pace. Top marks for effort. Dangerous cross at the end nearly gave us all the points.
McKenzie - 6 Nice cameo. Was going to say certain for a start in the next game but maybe not now that Akpo has arrived.
  • I think we need a bench mark of markings if this is to have any real relevance.....Someone marked 5 Poor....well 1-10 then 5 must surely be average?

    Just a thought Danny
