Fair play to Parkinson, clearly not as clueless as some suggested after last match and has changed things up. Be interested to see how well this works now...

Guess the idea is to keep them on the back foot so they cant get forward and hopefully reduce the number of attacks that need breaking up?

Never was clueless in the first place. Usually had a good sensible reason for his choices.

I kind of agree, even if it's "only League One". Bailey will be forced to sit back a lot more and also means there's no real physical strength in the midfield. Hopefully Racon will make up for it by the quality on the ball that he'll add.
im surprised that Semedo got the bench. Unless he is struggling with fitness and needs a good days rest, he has been our best player all season. When PP took Semedo off against Orient, we looked even worse.
True. Maybe Baileys been given that role and Therrys taken over the passing/playmaking role further forward. We'll see, personally I'm impressed Parkinsons going for it so I hope it works out.

Kind of agree, I would have started with Semodo- Racon - Bailey in the hole, flanked by the 2 speed merchants.
Burton on his own, laying crosses back for the midfielders to move on to.
But you can see that Parky's decided on pace and thrust at full back, let alone on the winger positions, with Akpodje surging forward in the centre. I guess Burton becomes more of foil, rather than target man, linking up play and feedoing off scraps in the box?

That bastard woman commentator does me nut in!! In my opinion, sexist or not, there is no space for A bird doing football commentary!! It's wrong, stupid and silly sounding, and she is crap!!
[cite]Posted By: Threadkiller[/cite]with walsall getting an amazing 2 points from a possible 18 in their recent form scoring 6 times as well, this is another game that should not be taken lightly.their emphasis on getting the ball down and playing natural free flowing football may make this a very tough fixture for us.
another 2 points dropped to many points going astray huge game away sat this will be our own undoing if we dont go up !! or are we just filtered out we need a win to kick start our season a draw a fantastic achievement ?? if we want to go up we need to come and win these games here like our last two home games aswell its not been a positive last few games if we can get a win sat im sure this could get us on a decent roll again

Looks to me that Parky's picked a side to go for the jugular.
This is a game he knows he needs to win - and he's giving it his best shot.
For the Third Division, that's a fair quality bench!
