    Richardson - 7 MOM
    Dailly - 6

  • Elliot - 6 - Never looks confident. One really good save. Doesn't communicate well
Richardson - 7 - Ran his heart out. Should have passed it on a few times.
    Dailly - 6 - Solid job.
Llera - 6 - Few wild kicks and passes - but also a few excellent long balls.
    Basey - 6 - bit invisible in 1st half.
Sam - 7 - Only really creative player. Sometimes needs more help around him and cross it earlier.
Semedo - 6 - Solid in the middle - think he misses Racon...
Bailey - 6 - Not at his best. Went missing in first half. Improved second - got increasingly frustrated.
    Shelvey - 5 - Below par - think he needs a rest.
Burton - 6 - Ran around a lot again - I'm not convinced. Bit greedy for his 'goal' shot - should've squared.
Mooney - 7 - Some great chances he should have converted. Should not have been taken off.
Wagstaff - 7 - Looked hungry and was '[everywhere'. Think he's due a start.

Team as a whole - 5 - Sometimes wonder if they talk to each other...

  • Elliot - 6 - not much to do but kicking it long was not working and he should have used his throw more effectively.
Richardson - 7 - Good outlet, good probing runs and some nice crossing.
Dailly - 6 Must be hard playing next to Llera when he's having a mare. Did OK
Llera - 4 I guess that answers the question about Sodje coming back in on Saturday. Started reasonably and then swapped his boots for clown shoes fitted with Toblerones. Woeful distribution and the only reason he gets a 4 is because he doesn't hide - he carries on. Not good enough though I'm afraid
Basey - 6 Had a tricky winger and absolutely nobody helping or covering him so again had the whole left hand side to deal with. Considering that he did pretty well
Sam - 5 Could be devastating but doesn't have the footballing brain. Looks so threatening but last night wasn't a good showing.
Semedo - 7 I am still flabbergasted he was subbed. Once he departed we were so overrun it was a joke
Bailey 4 - GET UP AND GET ON WITH IT. Lead by example and lose the theatrics
Shelvey 5 Bad day at the office. I saw Parky call him to play more central but that just put us more out of shape. He ended up chasing shadows and looking like a headless chicken.
Burton 6 not his usual self and didn't seem as mobile as usual.
Mooney 5 Stinker. How many times was he caught offside?

    Subs
Waggy 6 Lively and dangerous but not a left winger. Better option there than Shelvey though
McKenzie 6 If he's approaching match fitness then probably worth of a start soon
Dicko 4 Pants. Had time to make a difference- instead waved his arms about and got caught offside. For someone so fast he can afford to give defenders 3 or 4 yards and still skin them.

Parky 4 Semedo going off was an epic fail if he wasn't injured. Shelvey coming inside left too much space on their right and confusion in the middle.
Crowd 5 Booing 3rd defeat of the season and first at home for 10 months........come on chaps stop being so fickle

We should go back to 451 for a bit
  • Elliot - 5.5 didn't miss much
Richardson - 4.5 You can tell he's from rugby league country ran and ran with the ball until he got tackled. One of them at fault for the goal. Flattered to deceive.
    Dailly - 5 Constantly turned
Llera - 5 Turned a number of times playing against a veteran. Good in the air as ever and looked handy up front at the end. Some horrible distribution
Basey - 6 Turned a few times, but some lovely passes - crossfiled ball over the defender into Burton's path was a sweet a ball as Stevie G or Pirlo might conjure up.
Sam - 6 Doubled up on, but still got in some dangerous crosses. Messed up a lot too.
Semedo - 6.5 One wayward header, but otherwise busy and missed when he came off
Bailey - 5 Did little by his standards. Clearly goes to ground a bit too easily - did it for the goal and might have had a penalty, but is his rep counting against him.
Shelvey - 4.5 Ineffective out wide and carried his form into the middle.
Burton - 6.5 Didn't get as much play in the air as usual. Stuggled a bit because Mooney was being forced out wide so didn't have anyone close enough to play to.
Mooney - 5 Disappointing but forced out wide in a tactical mess.
    ___________________
Wagstaff - 6 Added some proper width and whipped a nice ball in.
Leon - 5 Failed to fill Deon's boots
Dicko - 4 A truly terrible performance, I'm sad to say

Parky - 4 Completely to blame IMO. Failed to sort out a team that had been winning but not winning well. Needs to learn lessons when we get lucky.

  • Elliot - 6. Can't remember him doing much but not really his fault for the goal.
Richardson - 6.5. Bombing forward= good, forgetting to defend= bad.
    Dailly - 5.
Llera - 5. None of the defenders came out of last night well, but at least he kept putting himself out there.
Basey -5. Would be lower but he was left horribly exposed sometimes which can't have helped.
Sam - 6. Ocassionally genuinely threatening, the rest of the time genuinely toilet.
Semedo - 6. Not his best game but was missed after his exit.
Bailey - 5. Goal not TOTALLY his fault but he sure as hell didn't help.
Shelvey - 5. Frustrating and by the end frustrated.
Burton - 6. Tried hard but except for the first half injury time never looked particularly threatening. Missed though after he was subbed.
Mooney - 5.5 Some of his runs offside were annoying as hell, but he did get himself into one great position he should have scored from. Can't complain about being subbed.
Wagstaff - 6. About as threatening as anyone we had, we did at least have a vague shape once he came on.
  • Elliot -7 not a lot to do really
Richardson -7 not a bad game considering just back
Dailly -7 not a lot to do really
    Llera -5 ahem....well...
Basey -6 some good runs and crosses
Sam -6.5 frustrating on the crossing but did attack
Semedo -6.5 being subbed changed the game for me
    Bailey -6 played to deep
Shelvey -6.5 tried to make things happen
    Burton -7 steady performance
Mooney -6 An off day but tried
Wagstaff -6.5 didnt happen his time

Parky 6 double sub a booboo I think
Dicko 4 Would have been better had Parky taken him back off and we played with 10 men

    Elliot - 6...........Standard.
Richardson - 6.5...Not bad. too head down and run sometimes.
Dailly - 5.5.......Gets turned to easily.
Llera - 4.5 .......Ive seen milk turn quicker.Looks like one of them toy footballers, push his head and he kicks it.
Basey - 5.........To slow and not positionally aware enough to get away with it.
    Sam - 6.5.........Our only threat.....at times.
    Semedo - 6.......Standard performance
Bailey - 5.5.......Get up you tart!
Shelvey - 5.5.....Poor game. Needs to find his true position, and quickly.
Burton - 6.5......First half no service. Second half our best player. Subbed, why?
    Mooney - 5.......Pants
Wagstaff - 5.5 ......Didnt get into it.

Can't fault the effort hence all 6s but nobody stood out as exceptionally good or bad except Richardson's surging runs in the first half hence a 7 for him.

As I said last night too many had an off day at the same time and that essentially is why we lost.

Elliot - 6 needs to throw more, not just for breakaways
Richardson - 6.5 should have been back post for goal but attacked well
    Dailly - 6 serial hoofer
Llera - 6.5 his hoofs often found their man
    Basey - 5 Unprotected. Hoofer.
Sam - 7 can't see what more he could of done. Always threatening
Semedo - 6 Struggled to find outlets
Bailey - 4 expected more. Point deducted for play-acting.
Shelvey - 4 not sure what his role is. Does he? Does Parky?
Burton - 7 Should have stayed on

These are generous markings, the team looked like they had lead in their boots and cotton wool for brains. Llera and Basey showed the worst apects of their defencive abilities and Llera his inabilit to distribute the ball. Shelevey showed his lack commitment in the tackle or in runing back to help the defence. Bailey just ran around like a headless chicken. Mooney could not hit barn door. At least Sam got a number od crosses into the box, not his fault that no one capable doing any thing with them or even bothering to get into the box.

    Mine from a TV perspective....
Elliot -6I question Robs positioning at times but he has heart
Richardson -7 another game under his belt and we will have Fraser back to his best
Dailly -5 Not quite at the races these days
Llera -6 This bloke doesnt hide and despite any mistakes he makes, he is really honest.
Basey -5 Not a left back really is he? More suited to that left midfield holding job I think.....
Sam -5 Useless in the first, really impressive in the second...might become a good player if he can do 90 mins of the good stuff
Semedo -6 Why did he get taken off? Beats me
Bailey - 5 Not his best game and by far his worst for a long time
Shelvey -6 Not his greatest game but he did drop deep in the second half to try and create
Burton -5 First touch is sublime, but he isnt that 25 goal a season poacher you need in this league, he has missed twice as many as he has scored.
Mooney - 4 I thought he looked awful tonight....he seems to hav stopped making those runs into space, his 1st touch was poor and he seems incapable of going past anyone
Wagstaff 6 I think he made a difference when he came on....he could yet become the player Sam threatens to be....

McKenzie 5 Cant say he has given us anything we dont already have.
Dickson 3.....I want him to be as good as he thinks he is, but im getting to the point where Id be happy to wave goodbye

Parkinson 4.....I think he got his tactics all wrong....he needs to kick a few of this lot into touch.....we havent been firing on all cylinders for a few games now....
