  • Yes, I'm sorry he's not about any more, his arguments and opinions always seemed reasoned and well thought out even if you didn't necessarily agree with them. As has been said his knowledge of music, and the people involved in it , was huge. I hope he returns later in the season, especially if it's looking good for us.
  • rings a bell, but cant actually remember any of his posts. so am sorry to say cant have missed him too much myself! i did try searching but as no longer has an account cant find him :-(

    RIP Nigel W's account
  • [cite]Posted By: incorruptible addick[/cite]I think the description ''threw his toys out of the pram'' rather sums up why he left.

He walked away quietly and with dignity. There was no no noise, no grandstanding, no recriminations. Merely a brief private note to AFKA as a courtesy , explaining that regretfully he felt his presence had become a red rag to a bull and that the continuation of healthy discourse on the board would be best served by his withdrawal.

Having ''thrown his toys out of the pram'' in this bellowing, juvenile, power-crazed, attention-grabbing, narcissistic fashion, he was never heard from again.

Despite the many kind words here, sadly he won't be coming back because he has found life much calmer and more enjoyable as a lurker on CL than as an active participant.

    Multiple account user.

    Ban him!
