  • Elliot - 6 Not much to do, nearly saved the pen, mix up with Llera first half
Richardson - 6 Solid enough but didn't get forward much due to their five in the middle 6
Llera - 5 gave away pen plus other errors
Dailly - 6 Distribution was sometimes poor but little options. Otherwise OK
Basey - 6.5 Good cross for goal and worked hard
Shelvey - 5.5 not a good game for him but was out wide which doesn't seem to suit him.
Bailey - 6 Better at the end when the shape was better but not his dominant self
Semedo - 6 Caught in possesion a few times
Sam - 5.5 frustrating. kept dropping deep and coming inside giving up no width. A couple of decent crosses
Burton - 6.5 Decent balls were laid off but his heading at goal was way off
Mooney - 6 for the goal otherwise was too often marked out of the game or brushed aside

Wagstaff - 7 MOTM and not just for the goal. Created space out wide, opened the game up and gave the midfield option
McKenzie - 6.5 as above minus the goal. Moved the ball forward and helped to settle the side
Dickson - 5.5 poor touch and little impact
  • Elliot - 7.5

  • Elliot-6
    Richardson-6
Llera-4 not my favourite player liability
Dailly-5.5 looks out of sorts at moment needs to get back to his early form.
    Basey-5.5
shelvey-6.5 2 bits of quality more than rest of the team
    Bailey-6.5
    Semedo-6
    Sam-6
    Burton-6
    Mooney-6.5

Wagstaff- 7 mom made an impression when he came on great goal.
    Mckenzie-6.5 did ok
Dickson- 5 never changes still throwing his arms up in the air moaning his nuts off (BIT LIKE ME)
  • Elliot - 6
    Richardson - 6
    Llera - 5.5
    Dailly - 6
    Basey - 6.5
    Shelvey - 6

    Wagstaff - 7
    McKenzie - 6.5
    Dickson - 6
  • Elliot - 6 Nowt to do really?
Richardson - 6.5 - Good to see him back but some poor balls
Llera - 5.5 I want to like this bloke but he's just not good enough
Dailly - 7 Comfortable but a few loose balls.
Basey - 7 Superb cross for the goal. Looked like being exposed by the quickish winger.
Shelvey - 6.5 A couple of glimpses of how good he is, especially the shot that hit the post. (who was playing wide left Jonjo or Bailey?)
Bailey - 7.5 Cut out the play-acting mate. Eventually got a grip on the game
Semedo - 6 Every week people say "solid, steady" but Is three or four tackles and a dozen or so square passed enough of a contribution? At least look for a forward pass man.
Sam - 7 Just keep doing what you're doing Lloyd. Taking players on and looking for a player rather than hoofing in the box in hope that someone will be there.
Burton - 7 Hard working performance as ever.
Mooney - 7 On the end of the best move of the match. Not his best game but still the best partner for Burton

Wagstaff - 7.5 Nice cameo. Great strike. Take a bow son.
McKenzie - 7 Lively, must be pushing for a start?
Dickson - 6 Pace but not much grace. A clear shove for the disallowed goal.
  • Elliot -6.5, didn't really have alot to do. did what he had to do
Richardson -7, definately gives us something more going forward also defensively sound
Llera -6.5, other then the penalty was generally good
Dailly -6, Poor Distrubution and not his greatest game
Basey -6.5, started of very poor but grew as game went on- fantastic cross
Shelvey -6, Tried to do too much when on the ball - out of position on the left! although unlucky not to score with great effor which hit the post
Bailey -7.5, first half a bit quiet but a real captains performance in the second half, he was everywhere!
Semedo -8, MOM for me he broke up play was there to protect the back four and dont think i saw him mispace a pass
Sam -7. Very frustrating as ever, at times he looked like he could kill them and did worry them but then was only in 2mins spell. i expect more but second half improved alot but had to go of as looked tired
Burton -7.5, led the line well. thought did ok at beginning where he was playing on the left, problem is people seem to hoof the ball to him if he is available
Mooney -7.5, tireless performance, constant thorn in hartlepools side. well taken goal, i feel dosen't get the plaudits he deserves

Wagstaff -7.5, Very effective coming on as ever. Brilliant goal, looked like it was going wide but dipped in
McKenzie -7.5, if fit enough maybe worth a start? he looks good on the ball can hold up the ball, run at players, only worry is can he chase back and defend when required
Dickson -6.5, didn't really see much of the ball. needs to run in better positions and stay in middle as looks in-effective on the wing when he goes there! half time was doing some nice touches & skill though, still think he has alot to offer

    Burton - 6.5

    Wagstaff - 7.5
    McKenzie - 6.5
    Dickson - 7
  • Elliot - 6 dodgy, doesn't seem to communicate with his centre-halves
Richardson - 6 very rusty but will hopefully be back to his pre-injury form before too long
Llera - 6.5 okay for him
Dailly - 6 looks a bit slow, is he age catching up with him?
Basey - 6 looks unfit to me, seems to drop right off the pace in the last 10-15 mins which gives us problems defensively
Shelvey - 6.5 great backheel for the first goal - tried to make things happen
Bailey - 5.5 well below his usual high standards
Semedo - 6 got more influential as the game went on
Sam - 6.5 more dangerous in the 2nd half
    Burton - 6.5 gave his usual 100%
Mooney - 6.5 a player I like and a fine header for the goal

Wagstaff - 7 solely for a fantastic winner and three vital points!
McKenzie - 6.5 not much chance to show his value
Dickson - 6.5 looked lively and sharp
  • Elliot - 6 didn't have much to do, almost got to a poorly hit pen
Richardson - 6 let the cross over that lead to the pen. Any better than Omo?
Llera - 6 gave away the pen, but otherwise strong in the air. Those diagonal balls are getting a bit predictable
Dailly - 7 unfussy and assured
Basey - 6 set up the first goal, otherwise poor. Gave the ball away a lot and wasn't as effective from set plays as he could be
Shelvey - 5 only bright sparks were when he cut in to the centre. Shouldn't be wasted out of position. Get the Rack Back
Bailey - 6.5 busy and smart as always, picked up and covered for Shelvey and Semedo when they were pulled out of position
Semedo - 6.5 gave it away a fair bit, but screened the defence well
Sam - 5 some neat tricks, but no substance. Didn't give Hartlepool the problems a player of his quality should.
Burton - 6 worked hard, achieved little, but won more than his fair share of hopeful balls
Mooney - 6 took his chance well but otherwise quiet.

Waggy - 7 only bright spot despite only playing a cameo
McKenzie - 6.5 if only he weren't made of glass he might be the answer on the left. Looked much more balanced with him on.
Dicko - 6.5 busy with some nice flicks and his pace and running offered an outlet, which some observers miss. Took his chance well, can't see why it didn't stand. If it did I suspect the scoring would have been rather different.

Parky - 6.5 substitutions turned it round but again the team was guilty of sitting back on it's heels when in front.

Borat - 8 (MOM) not a lot up front in the cold conditions, but showed a good turn of pace. Needs to get a longer run out.

Basey - 7 Excellent run & cross for the first. We were crying out for width on the left at that stage.

Wagstaff - cracking goal. I'd wanted him to come on on the left, moving Leon inside. Glad he didn't now.
McKenzie - looks strong. When Parky feels he's fit enough it'd be nice to see what he can do for longer.
Dickson - shame about the non-goal.

Elliot - 7 Did what he had to do only possible criticism was his calling to Llera in the first half

Richardson - 6 Understandably rusty but sound as ever

Llera - 6 couple of howlers but never hides and I respect that

Dailly - 6.5 not as assured as normal possibly still affected by his pneumonia

Basey - 7.5 Gets a point for that quality cross which would have graced the Premiership. Got done once for pace early first half but sound thereafter

Shelvey - 8 Showed a lot of character. Set Basey on his way for the cross that led to the goal with a cheeky back heel and could have scored twice himself. Tried to make something happen.

Bailey - 7 Subdued in the first half but came into it more as the game progressed

Semedo - 6 Didn't seem to win as many second balls as usual

Sam - 6.5 Heavily marked but still got some crosses in. Unfairly maligned

Burton - 7 works hard holds it up and brings others into play. Unglamorous but effective

Mooney - 7 Intelligent movement and excellent finish for the first goal

Wagstaff - 7 He had the confidence to take that shot for the 2nd goal. Shut up boo boys and allow the likes of Shelvey, Sam and Waggy to express themselves. Yes there will be cock ups but equally we will get 3 points like last night.

McKenzie - 7 Put himself about and tried to get involved

Dickson - 6 I didn't see the push but didn't seem to try as hard as McKenzie to get involved

Crowd 3 Looking at some faces after the final whistle people looked pissed off they couldn't boo and moan. I was delighted to get the 3 points from what I always saw as a potential banana skin.

  • lol i think im the only one who thought llera played better overall then Dailly, my marks are quite different to everyones as well for a change! think i must of been watching a different game, but have to call it as i see it
    ;oD
  • Elliot - 6.5 little to do.
Richardson - 6.5 Better than at Wycombe, getting back to match fitness
Llera - 6.5 OK, but silly to give away penalty
Dailly - 6.5 Did his job
Basey - 7 Much better than Saturday, terrific cross
Shelvey - 7 Honoured to watch such a great talent in a Charlton shirt. Great shot that hit the post.
Bailey - 7.5 Lost count of the crucial challenges he made towards the end
    Semedo - 7.5 Powerhouse, workhorse
Sam - 7 Frustrating. Paddy, please have a word and tell him when to release the ball. He could be a fabulous player
    Burton - 6.5 Subdued
Mooney - 7 Good runs, nice header for the goal, but tired second half

Wagstaff - 8 MOM. Very very impressed. Another big star in the making.
McKenzie - 7 Worked hard, knocking on the door for a start
Dickson - Completely baffled, is he brilliant or useless? I can't decide!

I'd say yes - yes they can.

Llera is too much of a liability on the ground and has a 50p head. Both aspects were displayed last night.

Dailly on the other hand was solid if unspectacular
