Bailey, because without him we lack a player who gambles in the box and without him we don't have anyone who can destructively tackle in a positive way in front of the defence; something I still think we need to improve upon Semedo is excellent at picking up pieces but not emphatically clearing his lines.
But most important to the team all season has been Dailly, and then Burton. Although Norwich may have over taken us, this 'winter break' has been a god send with regards to Dailly coming back to fitness.
If we sold to just get money in then Bailey, if we sold to get players in that would support the overall balance and performance of the team then i would not be angry whoever they sold. Racon, Shelvey no problems, as long as the sale gave us promotion.
[cite]Posted By: The Red Robin[/cite]Elliot, Bailey, Semedo or Burton - they form the core of the team and are our most consistent/important players.
What about Dailly, surely he is a part of the core of our side as much as anyone. And has been greatly missed since his injury
Semedo. As great as Bailey has been for us the past 2 seasons and he really is the focus of the side in the middle. I'd feel much more confident that Jonjo would be able to step up the plate than someone coming in for Jose and doing his job.
I don't believe we'd sell anyone important unless it was vital for the club, which i'd understand but i'd be gutted if we lost Bailey/Burton/Semedo/Sam, as they are vital in giving us a decent shot at promotion. The thing is though, we could get a situation where we lose one but it lets us get in 3 faces that the manager wants, so all deals will have to be judged at the end of the window. (If Izale has banged in 5 or 6 goals by the end of Jan, there'll be untold abuse aimed at the management and Board.)
It would all depend on who we bought in to replace them - wouldn't mind losing Burton but gaining Torres, and wouldn't be too worried about losing Bailey but gaining Gerrard... ;-)
Shelvey would be the most depressingly inevitable, Bailey would mean that finances were much worse than we thought but overall it's got to be Izale. The loss of the maestro has left me feeling empty and hurt.

If Bailey were to go - I would give up hope of ever getting out of this division.
P.S. I wonder if Andy Reid would have gone on to earn a place on this short list, if he had stayed.
Agree with the general point but all we achieved under Holland was relegation! Aided and abetted by Hudson of course.
When we go up I am totally confident that he could repeat this seasons performances.
Quite agree.
Dailly appears to have only one major weakness - lack of pace.
Not surprisingly, these days.
But to take advantages of all the other qualities he brings to the side, then the team would need to be organised to compensate.
