Which ONE player would you be angriest at us selling?

edited January 2010 in General Charlton
Who is our most important player to keep - maybe it's their goals? (Bailey/Burton) maybe their potential (Jonjo/Racon) or their overall contribution

For me - I'd be livid if we parted with Jose Semedo as I think he is such a solid steadying influence. Just wonder who everyone else thinks

  • Yep Semedo for me too.
  • Bailey for me.
  • Bailey for me also
  • What said about what swizzle sticks said!
  • Yep, Bailey.
  • For me Bailey and Semedo are of equal importance, earlier in the season we really missed Semedo when he was injured but Bailey is probably edging player of the year so far for us.

I would also be livid to lose Sam and Burton, think they are vital to the team and to our promotion bid.

Infact I would be livid to lose a lot of the players, Dailly for example has been immense!
  • Bailey followed by Burton.
  • Any of Dailly, Semedo, Bailey or Burton.
  • [cite]Posted By: BlackForestReds[/cite]Any of Dailly, Semedo, Bailey or Burton.

And as cafcdan says, Sam too.

But pick one - and it has to be Bailey.

Brings that extra dimension when the chips are down.
He's the engine, the real driving force within the team.
  • There are a few I would like to keep but as things stand I'd probably choose Bailey if only allowed to name one.

Against Swindon he was the only player that looked to get the ball down and play it into the striker. Then didnt admire his pass but offered a return. I think the term is a 'catalyst' for all our good football.
  • Bailey is on a different level in terms of who I'd want to keep most. A leader, works his nuts off, scores goals, gets a tackle in and annoys other teams.
  • No question - has to be Bailey. Gives 100% and really seems to care. Semedo would be a big loss - but losing Bailey would destroy any sort of team cohesion.
  • Well Dailly's not going to be attracting any bids at his age so I don't think we need to worry about that scenario...

Burton's had a good season and scored a lot of goals but don't think we need worry about any big money offers either!

The danger is if a big bid comes in for Bailey or Shelvey along with big wages and turns their head.

Sam too would be a big loss as he is our only dangerous wide player who can beat a man (or two or three on a good day in his case)

I personally would be very disappointed to see Racon go as he is a decent player and I would hope he can kiss and make up with Parky and get back into the reckoning.
  • Bailey
  • Bailey then Burton.
  • I am worried about the last few days of the window when teams start to panic ie the likes of Hull, Bolton and Burnley. Would they maybe take a punt on one of ours ie Bailey. Its not as though we could afford to turn any offers down and even teams in the Champ may panic a little and go for Sam or Semedo
  • Bailey for me.
  • Bailey/Semedo
  • alot of ppl sitting the fence here, i too would like alot to stay buy u must pick one :-)

  • Bailey, but it is a close call between him and Semedo.
  • I am going to go for elliot. Not as likely as the others mentioned but i think he would be the more difficult to replace and we haven't got a player of equal ability in the squad. Apologise to randolph
  • Definitely Captain Courageous for me.
  • Nicky Baily
    Jose Semedo
Harry Artur - oops he's gone! For nowt.
  • Izele McLeod
  • You mean there are 2 of them, Henry ????
  • Bailey without a doubt.
  • Bailey at the moment, with Semedo a very close second.
