If we thought we could get Barnard, which I'd love us to do, then I don't think Mooney would be staying. I could be wrong, but I think Parky would keep Akpodje over Mooney if we were signing a partner for Burton. Just can't see us having the money, even if that is a good price for someone who's been scoring like he has and tbh, I'd rather we used it to sign a left midfielder, unless there are any good one's going on loan.
Good news when Mooney is fit. He makes some very intelligent runs behind the defence which I think have been under appreciated so far. I'm not Dicksons biggest fan but I think he probably had his best game so far for us against Brentford and did look like he'd improved. Maybe Lennie had a word or two with him at Bristol Rovers. Parky seem's to be a quite decent judge of player so far and has recognised what we need to improve the squad. I just hope he is able to free up enough funds/trim the wage bill to add one or two more before the window shuts.
Presumably Millwall have some cash because of the Zak Whitbread deal. Barnard would be a good way to spend some of that and Jackett has stated that Millwall need a finisher. What a pity.

If Bernard signs for Millwall, that'll prove he has no ambition - he'll know that he'll be playing Third division football next season.
Barnard to Charlton on a free in the summer - I have no evidence of this but just think if i was him I would not be joining Millwall now when I could go for nowt in the summer, have plenty of offers from better clubs (and worse case Millwall are still likely to be interested) and prob get a signing on fee to boot.
DAVID Mooney’s loan from Reading will be extended for a further 28 days later today - and he could remain at The Valley for the rest of the season.
The striker, who has been with the Addicks since October, is fit again after a knee injury.
“We’re going to get him for another 28 days,” boss Phil Parkinson told the South London Press.
“And there’s a good chance we’ll be able to extend it until the end of the season.”
