David Campbell also played for Kent at cricket through his teens.
  • Not Charlton I know but Stephen Bywater is an half handy cage fighter

They used to wheel him out as a celebrity fan / part time pundit. Not sure he ever got near a bike though - I'm pretty sure that between football clubs and insurance companies someone would have put a stop to that.
  • John Humphrey is now a Head of Year at Whitgift School (a proper teacher now...not just an ex-pro who takes the football) and is qualified to coach football, tennis, swimming and possibly rugby. No-one who remembers his days at Charlton will be surprised that he has shown huge dedication to make it in the world of teaching. And of course, he still keeps his affiliation with Charlton through youth team coaching and match day hosting.

Colin Pates is also on the PE staff at Whitgift. Apart from his football coaching I think he's qualified to coach basketball.

Others in the PE Dept include David Ward (ex-Surrey CCC) and Steve Kember (ex-Crystal Palace and Cheslea).

Not a bad set up eh? (for those who can afford it!)
  • John Humphrey is one of lifes gentlemen.
