If we can get this issue raised on local television, I am sure we can get Steve Bailey to comment!
On a more serious note, perhaps the Supporters Trust might be the right vehicle for aligning all of the supporters groups without all getting hung up about who's in charge. All it needs is an umbrella group with a low profile to enable the respective groups to do their own thing whilst all heading in the same direction.
Apologies for not being around today to contribute to all of the above.
Most posters have summed up my personal view that the POTY should be organised by " another group" who, with the Club's blessing, would make the event affordable, produce accounts for all to access and donate all profits to either the Academy or the Club's charity. Surely this would not be difficult ?
My earlier post regarding the meeting with Peter Varney was to illustrate that this issue was highlighted by the NWKA committee 2 seasons ago, not because the group was keen to play a starring role in any shape or form, but because it felt that G & B ( under the guise of the CASC Executive) should be challenged for the "right" to organise said event. As has been previously pointed out, no accounts have seemingly been produced and that in itself is unsatisfactory.

Just needs two dozen people with some cardboard boxes and some biros to collect them.
Steve bailey claimed that G&B has 800 members so why so hard to find helpers?
then again neither of the two officers of G&B live in greenwich or bexley.
the fans forum will sort it out.
You just couldn't make it up !!
Then we will see how many turn up tommorow night.. eh!
