It was Eddie Youds who clobbered Bergkamp in 1998-9 at The Valley. Bergkamp had nutmegged him earlier and taken the mickey a couple of times. About 18000 of us could have told him he was pushing his luck with big Ed, I think they were going for a drop kick and Youds went straight through him. Bergkamp walked off immediately, he'd had enough for one day. Seem to remember we lost 1-0 and Viera got a soft red card for catching Redfearn with his arm. Mr Wenger wasn't happy suprisingly enough.

Incorruptible....re: the Spurs match....Robert Lee wasn't always first choice that season (he was sub that day) and there's a player missing from the line up....Mark Stuart. They lined up with him and Melrose up front and Shipley, Curbishley, Peake and Walsh in midfield. Pearson came on as sub for Shipley and we probably went three up front, which Lawrence used to like every now and then.
