Parkinson is a joke, our form is atrocious and within a few months we are going to be well below the play-off places - Get Kinsella in quick and let this joker go and f**k up some other team - Sick & tired of it!

And then in 6 months time we can all call for Kinsella to be sacked because he can't turn it around.
[cite]Posted By: ValleyGary[/cite]Swisdom - I agree with alot of what you have said above mate but no way did Basey play pretty well. He was dreadful.
The problem I had with Basey is he never looked to take the ball forward, something Youga is decent at. That left him having to pick a pass out soon as he received the ball. I'm not expecting him to take players on, he's not that type of player, but he was making it hard for himself and his passing had to be perfect otherwise he lost possession.
[cite]Posted By: ISawLeaburnScore[/cite]I know just what we need... ANOTHER MANAGER!
That's definitely the answer.
Chopping and changing with Dowie, Reed, Pardew really served us well
Maybe, just maybe, and I appreciate that this hasn't occured to our board or many of our support, getting a competent manager might improve matters. Replacing him with another dingaling with a shit haircut, is pointless, I'd agree.
And any manager we can get in would be a big risk. Most likely would be an apparently promising young manager from a smaller club (as Pardew, Parky and Dowie all were meant to be not very long ago...) or someone like Kinsella.
Other clubs manage to appoint competent managers. Are you suggesting that it's impossible? I'd disagree that any of the above named (or appointed) really hit any of those buttons and NO THAT'S NOT WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT, THEY WERE ALL FAIRLY GARBAGE FROM THE GET GO (BTW YOU MISSED UNCLE LES OFF YOUR LIST).
For me, Kinsella would be an appeasement and liable to go the same way. We need someone with a blend of track record and potential and Kins ticks a maximum of one of those.
I'll not bother suggesting anyone, because, a) I don't want Parky sacked at the moment, for business issues if nothing else and b) know-alls who have supported the current massively successful regime will point out that manager X, is simply not up to the task, as we saw in Rodders thread (where a number of good options were suggested) the other day. It's a losing battle for a losing club's fans.
Doesnt matter, in my case im a new poster but after a season ticket for 28 years and 68 away grounds im as pissed as anyone about the demise over the past couple of years. Footballs a game of opinions, or you may as well close the forum.
Of course it's not impossible, I think I'm just used to us as a club finding it hard to get right.
My list was of managers who were supposedly promising. Les Reed was never seen as that. Pardew was meant to be 'one of the best young managers in the country' (didn't Alex Ferguson say that about him?), Parky and Dowie were meant to be very promising young managers in League One/Championship. I was just giving examples that have managed here. Aidy Boothroyd had similar praise, then suddenly after a bad year or two he was seen as a very average manager. Paul Ince another, meant to be a promising young manager, then suddenly "can't hack it in the Prem".
If for example we made Eddie Howe from Bournemouth manager, if after 6 months he had us in mid table and going nowhere, there'd be all sorts of comments about him being the new Parky, not being able to handle a bigger club, being League Two standard at best.
Not easy to find someone with a good track record and potential, and it only takes one bad spell at a new club for a manager to be seen as promising to nothing.
Basey is shit and should be playing non league or league 2 at best. In the first 10 mins i saw him mistime 3 jumps for headers which all went sailing over his head and play a hospital ball across the pitch that totally shafted Semedo, when i see him on the team sheet i know were gonna struggle.
Having said all that, we need to get behind the boys on Saturday because as Parky would say we have only lost 2 league games and there is a chance of recovery but this needs to happen very quickly. We have been lucky that this shit run has coincided with 2 cup games, lets just hope we can get this run out the way now and capitalise when Leeds slip up. Toughen up parkinson
As chef gusto in Ratatouille said "Only the fearless can be great" lol
Randolph might have been at fault for the goal on Sunday but how can you ignore the quality he showed in the first half, ok the goal was down to him but the crap in front of him couldnt even muster a decent chance against non league oppo so they are more at fault. Plus we would have lost 3 or 4-0 if it wasnt for Randolph, all the rest of the team had to do was score 1 goal against a non league team and we would have had a replay. Ikeme totally flapped at the second goal tonight but i do think he looks a decent keeper at this level.

having not played for several weeks he's bound to be rusty for maybe the first 10 mins or so.
Lets not mention the fact that he kept the coloured fella under control for the remainder of the game
I ll always get behind the boys, well except for that numpty McLeod, but yesterday has shown yet again that the team is getting from bad to worse and if we carry on playing this way we won't even be in the playoffs. The team is disorganised and Parky's tactics are sh..te.
I have come to the conclusion, and its an old cliche, that Parkinson and the club are not bothered about any cup competitions this season. His body language and the look on his face on Sunday before kick off was awful, and he seemed to have a sense of relief on his face last night when interviewed after the game, and was almost talking the team up after a very average performance.
It's the old adage that we can now concentrate on the league, and it no way excuses 2 very poor performances this week, but I do believe he could not give a toss, and his face and comments afterwards showed that to me.
Dailly again was superb, Llera did OK, Youga was like a headless chicken at some points but was steady, Shelvey non existent, Semedo gave the ball away a lot, and what the hell did Burton find so funny when he came on?
Holden, great cross for the goal, can only get better IMO, Waggy, average, Sam, better than Sunday, but still a show pony for me, Basey, steady enough but caught out of position a lot, Spring, apart from his long range efforts, rubbish, Mooney, cant stand on his own two feet (ok, it was wet, but bloody hell)
WOW it was the JPT we were playing without doubt one of the strongest teams in our league away from home who are on fire at the moment and we lose 2-1, Yep we wernt at the races but all this anger some of you need to find porn on the tinternt it can really help relieve your stress.
NWV was a shit result it was a shocker of a performance but these things happen.
Parky is NOT the right man for the job i know it you all know it, but we have got him and that is that.
Shelvey is not the problem Cafc4 Life you clown if you really do believe in your name than read it again and stop being such a little p**k
He is being played out of postion and is still only a child much like yourself i should imagine.
We have MK at home on Saturday and i take it some of you are going to make it easier for the MK players by letting your feelings known of how pissed off you are at every mistake made.
What we need right now is for everyone to calm the fuk down and start looking at it logically.
Elliot best disrtibution i have seen from a goalie in a charlton shirt in years and had been at the heart of our defence it all seemed quite natural = Injured
Richardson settled in fantastically well quick as fook able to defend in this league more than amicably gave options going forward as well as back= Injured
Burton not really my favorite player but in the 451 that started so well he was fantastic in many a game with his back to goal holding the ball up and scoring goals. = Playing with a Hernier so he is Injured
Bailey IMO since the Exeter game Nicky Bailey has been playing with an Injury as he has not been himself at allnot running back nor forward very slow to react i would love to know if anyone knows if he has got a knock?
Semedo Arguably a our best midfielder so far this season IMO up until yes you have guessed it he got Injured.
So we start the season on fire playing the same 11 in the first 9-10 games then all of a sudden we lose 3 key players and the other 2 are playing through with injuries that is effecting their form.
there is not a team in this league that if the 5 players mentioned were injured that it would not effect the form that the team was in, we were in a groove players playing like they should results breed confidence, confidence breeds results,
we have a very small squad that is going to struggle with injuries FACT
We chose to play 1 of them in a Fa cup tie that most are pissed off we lost because they have had a bit of stick at work it was on TV so people saw it , Was i pissed off yes am i still pissed off NO
JPT we do not start NB,DB in this game fortunatly we choose to Rest NB totally.
We lost we are out of a cup competition that i am embarresed to be in to be honest
We have the wrong manager in charge i have always believed that but we have him shall we spend the next 7 months feeling that the season is over in November because we are second and have lost a few games but only 2 in the league
I didnt see the Colchester game, but I have to say that Ive always found Llera competant for this league.....his ball distribution is actually streets better than Sodje's, but Sodje is a better header of the ball...3 defeats on the spin, now lets see what happens when things really matter on Saturday.
I think some of the personal stuff about Basey is a bit out of order, but what I will say is playing players out of position is criminal at professional level. I counted Youga, McKenzie, Sam & Holden all playing out of position tonight. If changes are to be made to the team make sure people are played in positions that they are at the very least comfortable with & are not foreign to them.
The playing players out of position thing is sometimes necessary when you simply don't have a squad that does not have enough depth or even enough quality.
I simply don't think Omozuzi is good enough and Youga looked assured at RB despite being at 6's and 7's for their first goal. Holden looked better on the right than the left I thought and Sam should be able to play on both wings with his pace.
I don't like strikers playing on the wing though - seems pointless to me.
Whether Bailey or Racon should have been omitted completely is a different matter though.
Think it's a little unfair to judge Parky on recent results. We all knew the squad was threadbare and the XI that started the season wouldnt be able to cope with playing every single week. Please don't forget that Parky has spent next-to-nothing on transfers since taking over. He needs money for January that's for sure.

Eddie Howe at Bournemouth is top of the division with a first team squad of 14 players! He doesn't even use kids as subs as he is allowed to - his opinion is even though they maybe 2 or 3 subs short of allowed players, his youth team players have to earn the right to be in the first team squad, not just be in the squad due to the fact there aren't enough first teamers!
The excuse about thin squad is rubbish - other managers do more with less - Ronnie Moore, etc over the years. It's his ability to not be able to tactically change or motivate and inspire players where the problem lies.
Your best mate Eddie Howe is probably an exception. To be fair to you though supaclive, it does look as though they are going through the motions again during matches. Could it be that our players know we can't afford to replace them and bring in competition for their places? If that's the case then Parky/Murray have to do something about it.

Good post, NLA.
I'm quoting this post in full, because it doesn't just point out negatives....... it looks at the bigger picture.
It's not about moaning for the sake of it, it's about making realistic points and inviting constructive debate.
nth london addick. Can you please explain to me what shelvey has contributed to in the past games he has played. He hasnt scored since Orient, moans like a spoilt brat when he doesnt reacieve a perfect ball. Over or under hits corner and free kicks. Parky takes him out the team and then for some reason puts him back in and suddenly he is a part of a team that goes out of 2 cups in 4 days. Oh and he is ment to be the next best thing. Have a laugh
Also, no need to the language is there, im trying to give my views. No need to start calling people names either. Think you may need to grow up a little!

nonsense he is a 17 year old kid who is not being played in the position that got us the wins from the first 10 games but we went 442 he was dropped out,
He was asked to play Centre Mid in a 5 man midfield yesterday FACT not just behind Mooney he was asked to play centre mid, The ball was pumped long all night long and yet that is his fault,
If you want to find fault in a 17 year old BOY who has pledged his future to this club his money from transfers will save this club should we go down the swanny any further
And you think it is fine to spout your Shelvey bile out at any given oportunity, If you want to blame people do so but aim your balme where it is deserved and taht is at the feet of Parky and whoever gave him the job.
