  • We will enter administration and get the 10 point deduction, this will follow a really poor run and the team will not pull together and we will be faced with another relegation battle!
    24th place on xmas day!
Or everything will be ok, we will get back to some good form. Sign Kevin Phillips on loan who will form a Quinn like partnership with McKenzie and Parkinson will win another manager of the month?

Most realistic despite how much I hate to say it!

[cite]Posted By: ShootersHillGuru[/cite]Our last 9 league matches have resulted in 11 points ! Thats not promotion form but closer to relegation form. The good start we made flattered to deceive imho. The midfield were playing well and scoring a lot of goals but in all honesty that was never going to last all season. The front line is without doubt the worst I have ever witnessed as a Charlton fan and will not score enough goals to sustain a promotion push. I was reluctant to critisise PP because early in the season we were doing ok and I thought he had done relatively well given the horrific financial constraints. However. The signs are there for us all to see. Tactics....sorry but I don`t see any worth speaking about and now that the midfield has lost something PP doesn`t seem to know what to do. This seems all very familiar doesn`t it ? Not saying he should go because given that he has just been awarded a new contract that would be laughable but I genuinely feel that what we are now seeing is the true Charlton team and the early promise was just a lucky start. I have given up on promotion already and to answer the question by Christmas we will be 6th or 7th with the crowning turd being beaten by Millwall.

    Agree with all of that.

Exactly what I was trying to get at in my thread but you have put a lot more eloquently here. Agree with all of that apart from the Millwall bit and think we should be seriously scouting other clubs for replacements asap so when the bubble does burst in the new year we arent scratching around without a clue again. The fact weve extended the contract will no doubt mean we will have to pay him off.
