[cite]Posted By: SoundAsa£[/cite]I'm not trying to be an arsehole here guys................................ but just what is the point of this thread?
the point is its about what the fans think, and i think we will be top two easily..
6th , mckenzie looked good today and hopefully we can get back to scoring ways and then maybe in the transfer window get a decent striker on loan or something so burton can get his op..
Our last 9 league matches have resulted in 11 points ! Thats not promotion form but closer to relegation form. The good start we made flattered to deceive imho. The midfield were playing well and scoring a lot of goals but in all honesty that was never going to last all season. The front line is without doubt the worst I have ever witnessed as a Charlton fan and will not score enough goals to sustain a promotion push. I was reluctant to critisise PP because early in the season we were doing ok and I thought he had done relatively well given the horrific financial constraints. However. The signs are there for us all to see. Tactics....sorry but I don`t see any worth speaking about and now that the midfield has lost something PP doesn`t seem to know what to do. This seems all very familiar doesn`t it ? Not saying he should go because given that he has just been awarded a new contract that would be laughable but I genuinely feel that what we are now seeing is the true Charlton team and the early promise was just a lucky start. I have given up on promotion already and to answer the question by Christmas we will be 6th or 7th with the crowning turd being beaten by Millwall.
There are only seven games between now and Xmas and I'd guess we'll get around nine points from them.
That would put us on 38 pts from 22 games and should be just enough to keep us in the top six or , at worst, just outside it, as Huddersfield (6th) and Millwall (7th) are currently only on 24 pts each...

I think 8th is about right.
If only we had some real competition for places we could go on to be number one in southern England too.
Don't think so. Palace are No.1 at least until the end of this season.
I reckon that we'll be 7th at best by Xmas - unless Parky makes some serious changes.
To help the rose tinted glasses brigade to get real.
my only response to them carnts was look at the league table ...... i had to use it while i can .......not long now aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
McKenzie will be our goalscoring saviour.

Agree with all of that.
That's unusually positive from you Golfie...
