what i mean is when they play a team thats a little bit lively in tackles give it back,we always seem to be set upon in games, not suggesting a elbow off ball, who knows what may have been said to him perhaps?
I really wish he had been sent off. Playing with ten men is clearly a better option than playing with Mcleod. I fail to believe a worse striker exists in professional football.
I had mates over and they spent all game laughing at him. We better hope he gets injured soon or we are in big trouble.
[cite]Posted By: Goonerhater[/cite]Hold on hold on Killer Hales didnt get his name from his charitable works !! he stamped on a few people and was sent off 4 or 5 times while with us. the differance with him and McClown is Hales stuck the ball in the net and McClown is shit .
The point is if he had any redeeming feature such as a strong work ethic, clean personality or even a bit of ability it would be easier to argue some kind of case for the lad but in the absence of any ability or likeable character traits I'm struggling to understand why we're still bothering with the lad.
I'm not convinced Dicko is the answer, but I know this kid definitely isn't.
[cite]Posted By: Mortimerician[/cite]The thing that enraged me about him today was a moment in the second half where a Vics player rolled the ball back to their keeper. Clowny was lurking about at the edge of the box no more than 8 yards away, and stood calmly watching as the keeper as he booted it out. To make no attempt to pressure him into a mistake, is a disgrace. The absolute basics and he simply couldn't be arsed.
Was absolutely doing my nut at him for that and there were other examples like not making runs down the channels to give our marked wingers an option for a pass. I'd love to say he's one of those strikers that saves his energy for making intelligent runs but he has absolutely zero footballing inteligence and then makes no effort to make up for this by being a Luke Varney style headless chicken workaholic. You could forgive a lot if he just put some effort in but he seems a very lazy player considering he offers so little else but a body on the pitch to make up the numbers.

The disgusting thing about all that it wasn't in a tackle or fight... it was random ... kick off walks up to him and smack...

therefore not only he's a crap player, lazy, cowardly but also stupid !!!! I can't believe the ref or linesmen didn't see anything. Even if he reacted to something that was said to him.. which is pathetic especially for a pro player, he could have been more discreet.
I've been thinking about this ever since it happened and didn't want to rush to a hasty conclusion, because I've been a strong defender of McLeod. But that elbow was unforgivable.
Lovely litle club Northwich - nice fans, decent people, honest players. And what does McLeod do? He decides he's going to show these minnows that they're playing with the big boys now. He couldn't do it by scoring a goal, so he does it with an elbow.
Parky will go up in my estimation if he tells him he's fined and dropped until further notice.
Apparently the NV player was called Steve Northstand. IM found this out at HT and as an avid reader of CL the thick dipshit thought he was the fella on here who originally coined the name "McClown".
FACT.
Although someone who has stuck up for him before (not on here) that he might come good, I hope he gets the ban, don't want to see him in a Charlton shirt again. Being unbelievably shit is one thing but being a brain dead thug just takes the biscuit. First time ever that i've wanted one of our own players sent off during a game
I have no doubt he'll get a ban. That was out and out thuggery. The only thing to justify that would be if the guy had said something he shouldn't have to warrant a smack. That doesn't seem to be the case though. Mcleod has done himself no favours and any patience Parky had for him would now have greatly diminished.
i was always one for sticking by our players, but after that elbow i hope he doesnt play for us again... ben thatcher springs to mind, just as bad in my book..
Talal observed : "Being unbelievably shit is one thing but being a brain dead thug just takes the biscuit...''
I know it's not a remotely funny subject and a matter of shame for both player and club. But I have to say that sentence did make me laugh ... for the first time since the final whistle went!
This was a totally senseless action, either born out of frustration or because he was bollocked at half time....... It gained no advantage, and could have seen us down to 10 men for a whole half. ' This was not a brave tackle but a 'cowardly lash' expossed by the cameras. Should have been red carded..... Cannot see the FA overlooking this
[cite]Posted By: Valley_floyd_red[/cite]Well one day on and the incident hasn't had a mention. Unbelievably I think the usless tosser is going to get away with it.
It is being investigated by the FA and IMO he will definitely get a 3 match ban for violent conduct.

I hope the league suspend him

No more
I dunno about "always" steve - please don't make me go back over all your old posts - but you can have that one!
You'll be the only one who does...most of us will be having nightmares!

Charlton are also investigating.
