The result aside, his elbow at the start of the second half was quite simply disgraceful, hopefully he'll receive a ban, hopefully we'll never see him in a Charlton shirt ever again.

only agree from a football point of view, silly very silly but a bit more channelled agression from the rest of the team would have seen abetter result
[cite]Posted By: Valley_floyd_red[/cite]What about the hand ball in the first half when he virtually caught the ball with both hands? He's a living, walking, fu+king joke of a player.
Today felt like Wycombe home or Forest away all over again.
In mitigation he got poor service all game and when he did get the ball it was back to goal trying to hold it up as Burton does and then lay it off/chest it down. To be used that way is not his game, that said as a professional footballer he should have some ability to adapt to different styles.
Lisbie is a class player. Can you imagine any of our current lot scoring scoring a hat trick against Liverpool ? Or a winner at Chelsea, or two against the Spuds all in the Premiership. But everyone was so pleased when we got rid of him because he was shit!!! Now Mcleod is showing us what shit really is. To make it even worse we paid a million quid for him and gave Lisbie away for nothing. We seriously need to get a football brain into the board room to stop some of these crazy errors of judgment from happening.

I totally agree and since Curbs and his footballing brain have left its all gone pearshaped.

Mitigation? How does that work a few seconds after kick off when a player deliberately elbows the opposition in the side of the head for no reason what-so-ever? I'm not sure style has very much to do with his actions either. Ban him, sell him, get rid.

McLeod's (few) strengths revolve around pace and running onto the ball/knock-downs etc, today he was used in the Burton role as a target man who is largely static and brings others into play. I'd expect him to be able to adapt his game, especially against non-league opponents, but if you are going to play him I'd expect a team to play occasionally to his strengths and not to a style that highlights his weaknesses.
McLeod is a disgrace, I hope he gets banned for 3 games for his elbow. At Mk Dons he had a reputation as a bit of a thug who liked an elbow, he showed himself up today and he can leave the club as far as I am concerned, if anyone wants him. Thats not to mention his overall awful performance
He had a tough job today playing front of probably the most inept midfield performance I've ever witnessed with my own two eyes and it wasn't his fault we lost today but, that said, he was terribly, terribly bad. Both this week and last he's been replaced by subs who've instantly looked more purposful, skillful, and intelligent.
Didn't see the incident clearly at the start of the half but, if he deliberately elbowed the guy, then that is just about the final straw after he trudged off deliberately slowly at Carlisle.
I don't really care how f***ing hard he trains anymore he a sh1t player with no skill, no brains and crappy personality - drop him and get rid, even if it means picking Tuna instead.
Hold on hold on Killer Hales didnt get his name from his charitable works !! he stamped on a few people and was sent off 4 or 5 times while with us. the differance with him and McClown is Hales stuck the ball in the net and McClown is shit .
However, the elbow today was absolutely disgusting and there is no place for that sort of thing at our club. Cowardly and dispicable. I don't care if the FA do or don't take action - we should be fining him ourselves.

I'd imagine people's attitude to what he did today would have been different if he was a good player, sure.
The thing that enraged me about him today was a moment in the second half where a Vics player rolled the ball back to their keeper. Clowny was lurking about at the edge of the box no more than 8 yards away, and stood calmly watching as the keeper as he booted it out. To make no attempt to pressure him into a mistake, is a disgrace. The absolute basics and he simply couldn't be arsed.

On second viewing though it was cynical and deliberate. No complaints from me if he picks up a retrospective ban.

Hideous few years for the club.
Lets check with Ince if he wants to take him back. I would by a mile rather have Dickson on the pitch.
Mckenzie and Burton were better

I hope to never ever see him wear a Charlton Shirt.... a discgrace.
I think you may find it's not the only black mark on the judgement front.
