Randolph can leave in January lol

Another one of your wise decisions hey Parkinson.

Ok Randy Darren could have come off his line a bit quicker for the goal but if it wasnt for him we would already of been 3 down. WAKE UP PARKINSON, if your lucky to still have a job in the morning then signing Randolph on a long contract would be your first decision. Sorry thats unlikely, youd have to have a brain to know that and having a brain doesnt apply to you you useless MUPPET!!!

WALK AWAY and do us all a favour. The Players are shite but the manager carries the can....P*** OFF

Eh? How many times have you seen him play? Because Parky sees him every day at training, and in most reserve games. Which makes him better qualified to make a decision. One good game (which he undoubtedly did have, although he did make a mistake which cost a goal), does not make a player. Personally I like him, but I know that there are people who know much better than me - ie. PP.
  • Liverpool away when we got relegated. The fact he made "that world class" save today.

And you trust Parkinsons judegement do you?

Yes, I do. Today was embarassing, Parkinson will rightly lay into the team, and we WILL see a much better performance next weekend. If we don't then I will start to worry.
  • I think at the moment we are all pretty pissed off and understandably so hence the raw reactions- I know I am because today was another kick in the privates for us long suffering fans but we are still 2nd in the league- lots of clubs in League 1 would be more than happy with that, we have not held onto that position by being a shit team, admittedly we are having a wobble at the moment but right now I will more than be happy if we ride this out and end up going up. If Parky didn't walk when the shit hit the fan last year then get it out of your minds that he will go on the back of this result however shameful it was.
  • he was to blame for goal, glad i told my dad i did not fancy it
  • Si - are you Parky's mum?

    What Callum said.

Right, so you've seen him play twice, and in one of those games he made a great save. I'm not sure that positions you very well to make judgements on his long term potential. And yes, I do trust Parkinson's judgement funnily enough.
  • like i say he mucked up for goal.
  • It was a typical Randolph performance today. Played well for most of the game and then one lapse of concentration leads directly to a goal for our opponents. His last minute error at Anfield was the same. As was the game earlier this year when he dropped the ball over the line. He's prone to making vital errors at important times and he needs to sort that out if he is going to make it.

We'd all be happy with that Pilchard, but do you really see any sign of that happening considering how terrible we have been for weeks and weeks?
  • cant believe this thread.
  • [cite]Posted By: Nadou[/cite]Si - are you Parky's mum?

Lol. I don't think she's signed up on here yet so I've taken it upon myself to play her role for her.

Seriously, why is it so crazy not to be jumping on the Parky Out bandwagon after one shocking display, when we are still sitting 2nd in the league. To do so just doesn't make sense to me. We have our most successful manager in our history after sticking with him for the long term. All fans agree this is the best policy. So why are so many calling for something so irrational and so blatantly detrimental in the long term?
  • Nolly mate this is probably the first time i have disagreed with you.In the first half Randolph kept us in the game. The goal is down to 1 person and 1 person only, omusuzi he has tried to play a geezer offside if he goes with him he doesn't put Randolph in a dilema. But to blame Randolph after that pile of shite from our midfield is a bit harsh.

Right mate got that off my chest you and me usually sing from the same hymn sheet.

do me a favour pete to blame him is unbelievable given what the players in front of him done like i said if omusizi does his job he's not left one on one watch the replay of the goal mate without listening to them 2 planks commentating watch omusuzie then tell me what u think.
  • steve we agree to disagree watch it again, unlike others we dont let steam come out of are ears when we disagree.
  • Question is...

Who do you pick in goal for next week-Ikeme or Randolph?

I'd go with Randolph. I'd understand him being nervous today - his career could have been on the line with a poor showing, but he made two/three great saves and his handling etc was secure. That said he stuck to his line a bit too much and was slow coming out for their goal, but Herring caused problems for our defence all game. Those who want to blame Randolph for the goal should really put the blame on our inability to do anything about his aerial threat and that was down to Parky for not doing something about it.
  • I agree Steve, but Darren still hesitated fatally. If he'd come for the ball and kept going he would have picked the ball up easily before the Northwhich player.
  • Steve, I think he's just making the point that Randolph is not necessarily worthy to stay beyond Jan just because of one good performance. And although I do agree that it's harsh to blame him for the goal considering the way the player breached the offside trap, you can't deny that he should and would have made the ball if he'd been quicker off his line. Another keeper would have stopped it in my opinion
  • he seems to have one in him every game, shame we need a 90 min perfomance,he saved a beauty in first

You sure? Kindly tell me what you've seen recently to suggest this 'cause i must have missed it.

Most teams hit a shit patch during a season and ours is now, I am pretty sure it will happen to Leeds at some point- yes even Leeds. Yes we have been poor for a while, I'm certainly not denying that but we are more than capable of turning it around and using this result as a much needed kick up the arse. If the team respond by beating Mk Dons and going on a run then I will be more than happy.
  • We have the paint trophy on Wednesday at Southampton - before MK Dons at the weekend and I think PP will go with Darren for that game as well.
  • keep darren in,fancy us at home to mk ,its away that gives me worrys
  • Randolph was outstanding today despite the mistake, the rest of them made countless mistakes without atoning for any of them. Based on his performance today he will stay in the team...He is the only one who deserves to. Dailly and Sodje also had good games and that was it and that says its al, our best 3 players were the goalie and 2 defenders. Too many people love Billy Elliot because he is a charlton fan, he isnt actually that good!!!
  • Of what I've seen Elliot is the better keeper than Randolph, but they are both young and relatively inexperienced and have much to learn.

I don't think either have let themselves down this season, albeit Randolph has had one match and if Ikeme is preferred from here on, this could be his last match in a Charlton shirt. If I were Randolph and I got dropped for the JPT thing I'd hand in a transfer request and look for a move in January.

Majid Bougherra handballed it and they got a penatly? That day was his best in this career.

He made by far, the least mistakes out of our players today.

Agreed - Randolph was our MoM, not that he had much competition.

And of course he saved the penalty at Anfield...
  • Thought Randolph was our man of the match today, with one unfortunate mistake. His dithering over whether to come for the ball that led to the goal was worthy of Gordon Brown. But as NSS says, if Omosuzi had used his brain, Randolph need not have been put in that situation in the first place. At the end of the day he made one error - considerably fewer than everyone else in a Charlton shirt today.

I'm sure he will play in the JP this week, but however well he does I'm equally sure he will then be dropped to the bench again v MK Dons in favour of Ikeme.

Something's not right with the morale in this squad at the moment. Probably doesn't help when the likes of Randolph and Basey can put in MoM performances and know that it makes no difference because they will be dropped , regardless. Matt Spring has also played well every time he has been given a chance and would do better than Semedo or Racon on current form.

The converse of this is that most players in the regular starting XI know they can have an absolute stinker and still be an automatic pick next week.

I'm not criticising Parkinson's man management, because I don't see how he works with the players closely enough to have an opinion, really. But he's got a big test ahead of him now to pick up a struggling team and inject some spirit and morale back into the squad.
  • Typical Randolph. Brilliant all game then makes a stupid mistake that costs us. Elliot can't come back soon enough!
