If this was in the W****n A****n thread, that would be another 5 points to the Trickers!
[cite]Posted By: LenGlover[/cite] If you look at it as lowest in absolute terms then yes the title is yours!
However if you look at it as the lowest in relative terms (us to them) then it is Wycombe. Top tier losing to fourth tier. The Rochdale match you mention was second tier losing to fourth tier.
Good point Len, makes this two interesting questions which seem to have been answered - and I think it is fair to clarify by saying lowest rank since joining the Football League ie. 1921
Nowhere near the lowest ranked I know.....but losing 0-1 at home to Swindon when Kiely lobbed the ball in, felt like it! Biggest home banker I can ever remember us having. In fact, the ONLY home banker I can rem......
Lowly teams we have lost to since 1920 not already mentioned above (although in most instances we were pretty lowly ourselves at the time, so few count as giant-killing):
Aberdare Aldershot Chester City Chesterfield Halifax Lincoln Merthyr Newport Peterborough Scunthorpe Shrewsbury Wrexham York
It was very close to being Dagenham when we were a top half of the prem and they were a struggling bunch of non leaguers. John Salako injury time goal...

Slacko saved us for sure that day, fun was had by all in the East too.
Off-it.....The Walsall match....we were 1-0 up and lost 2-1. THE coldest day at football in my experience. Pitch almost totally frozen. Not our finest hour!
That Walsall match...for some insane reason we decided to stand on the sainsburys end which was probably even colder than the half-hour wait stand, our normal spot. Absolutely freezing, brass monkeys outside looking for a welders.

For some reason the coach from dartford left at a silly early time, so we were at the ground by 1.30
we went in main stand as too cold to go on Sainsburys end, and just lit cigarette after cigarette just to keep our hands warm. even colder once we went up to the seats.
Mark Stuart scored early doors and think David Kelly and someone Shakespear got walsalls goals

Correct....Craig Shakespeare. Think he played for Baggies too.
Was feeling a tad glum afterwards so me and my mate Pete tried to work out how we could exact revenge on the mocking Walsall fans. By far the cruellest suggestion was to make them stand in some water. You just had to be there to understand quite how unappealing a soaking would have been that day! I was at Oldham in the snow in Jan 85 and that was like the Sahara compared to that f*cking Walsall cup game!

Lowest of the low, are they not?
I think we eventually squeaked it 2-1 or 3-2.
