[cite]Posted By: ChicagoAddick[/cite]Must be Wycombe under Uncle Les?
Wycombe were 5th in the table the night they beat us...
Unless anyone can beat my 1961 16th placed 4th Division Rochdale 1-0 League Cup defeat I'm claiming the title...
All depends on how you look at it.
If you look at it as lowest in absolute terms then yes the title is yours!
However if you look at it as the lowest in relative terms (us to them) then it is Wycombe. Top tier losing to fourth tier. The Rochdale match you mention was second tier losing to fourth tier.
To be pedantic (as this is Charlton Life) the lowest ranked would be one of the teams in the Woolwich or Lewisham League we lost to just over 100 years ago.
Since turning pro it would either be Maidstone in the FA cup in 1920 or Thornycrofts who finished bottom of the southern League that season but still beat us 4 - 1

In the FA Cup were Walsall in the third or fourth division when they beat us at The Valley a few years back when we were in the Prem?
Or Hereford in this years league cup.
Some of our league cup exits have been against fairly lowly sides, where were Bournemouth when they put us out?
1992/93 League Cup. Bury were in the bottom division and beat us 1-0 at Upton Park (1-0 on aggregate).
Walsall were Championship.
Another contender - Bottom division Oxford beat us on penalties.
Makes you realise how far we've fallen doesn't it!
Steady Vicky.
I don't think anyone would be in the least bit suprised to be honest. It has U.P.S.E.T written through it like a stick of rock...
I've seen a Charlton XI lose to Conference South Bromley, I take it friendlies don't count.
Everybody beat us when Dowie was in charge.

God, Bury Away.
The worst game ever, don't think either side had a shot on goal............
God, I remember driving to work in B'ham then onto Telford, then up to Bury for the game and then home, pissed down all the way back.
I remember going to Bury away. Wasn't that our first sighting of Deano? Think he was in goal for them at the time.
