Thanks for the report a very uplifting read.
I have been to meetings before at your branch both at wigmore and in the begining at Cambridge Harriers behind Hayes station always agreat night.Due to not living local anymore this is my main site for everything Charlton.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK......THANK YOU.
  • Thanks for the report Henry
  • PV said that there were 4 "serious" buyers at various times but that you always had the "kid in Essex with £5.50 in his Halifax account who wakes up one morning and wants to buy a football club". From what he said it appears that at least one of those buyers has been on the scene all summer and is still around. "we are talking to people" was what was said.

henry, no suggesting from peter varney why the other three dropped out and is that your interpretation that one is still around, or what pv was implying?
  • PV didn't actually say that one of those 4 was still around, but when someone referred to them in the past tense PV did say, "What makes you think that one or more of those isn't still around?". I think he may have corrected people on a couple of occasions by saying that.
  • Yes PV was quite emphatic about the 'deals'..... they are not dead was my reading of that answer, he obviously was not prepared to elaborate any more because of 'commercial sensitivity' which i think is a fair position in the circumstances. Read into that whatever...
