Regarded by quite a few fans as one of his best concerts, and although red house was released on in the west shortly after jimis death, this gives a great insight into the man and his stage presence....... Thought to be recorded by the notorious 'Owsley', there are quite a few 'trippy inspired moments. The version of red house is in my opinion Jimis best. The reference to the box's by Noel Redding and jimi's electronic devices, univibe, fuzz face, octavia, which became such an integral part of jimi's sound, circa Woodstock/. Nobody played guitar like this before, few have reached the heights since. 'Acid' rock/blues fusion at it's best.........
Got me thinking about the national anthems yesterday....... 1. Star spangled banner : Hendrixhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2ALNd3kIH0&feature=related 2. God save the queen: Hendix:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3D7Hkl-zlk 3. La Marseillaise : Jimi Hendrix during an 1967 Paris concert, played a psychedelic version of the anthem. A video recording of the concert was immediately confiscated by the French government due to the perceived insult to national heritage....... as on wicki
