Dweezil is a wonderful guitarist, I am not too sure he is playing with the usual ex-mothers musicians but I am sure it will be a great night.
Off all the bands I would want to see this is probably at the top of the list.
He apparently 'sinks in his guitar in stereo' . similar to the image shown. Frank was a real wizzard in the studio, and Dweezil has spent years trying to perfect his fathers music. Although I have issues with Frank's wife with not releasing certain material, (as do most fans of Frank that I have met) The music goes from the bizzare to some of the most complex contemporary music. Frank's continual piss take of nearly everything, but especially, politicians and religious zealots, combined with eccentric on stage improvisation, made his music an acquired taste. A sort of 'Bill Hicks' of the rock world.
Well today, I'm listening to the stuff on the Guardian top 50 of the year. First was the Nicola Roberts album, which is a darn good bit of pop, and now listening to the Beirut album.
At this very moment I've got A Tribe Called Quest's 'Peoples Instinctive Travels' album playing. Classic old skool hip-hop!!!!!!!!
Loved this and bought it when it first came out on vinyl. Still have it somewhere. Luck of Lucien is my favourite. This along with 3 Feet High and Rising are a couple of my favourite Hip Hop albums.
