Sorry Curbey...have had a mare trying to log in to the site. Has given me a chance to listen to it a few times now and have a different favourite track each time. There isn't a track as pounding as Let's Go Surfing, but if you liked all of Summertime, then this is a great follow-up. I'm liking it more with every listen!
Cheers

No worries pal, was very impressed with there last album. Like their single "money" I will give it a listen soon as I have the funds to buy it...
Outrageous and at times cruel parody of Jazz and modern contemporary music of the times, but the real venom is kept for the politicians as with this song Son of Orange County in regard to President Nixon who was born in Orange county, to this day one of the most complex of Frank's solo's, backed by some of the best session musicians stretched to there limits.
Crazy at times, for most people most of the time....... His son Dweezil play's this music today, and the concerts are very highly regarded, with Frank's guitar's and played a season at the roundhouse recently. Banned from the Albert Hall in his time, only a matter of time before his music is celebrated at the Proms.
Early Bowie. And then I found this classic interview from '75. Wonderfully subversive, makes the Pistols/Grundy affair seem positively tame. Would urge you watch all 3 parts-it's a hoot
Bowie is always worth a listen, not my favourite artist, but was a major influence on so many musicians and artists from my era,.
I was at art school when Ziggy was all the rage, in 72, I thought it was based on Hendrix, but apparently not, although the lines of the song contradict that,..... played it left hand, came on so loaded man' screwed up hair do etc etc..... This was a bizzare little interview looking at a tv set, with delay, as it stated after TMTFTE, never really took to Rusell Harty just before the 'cracked actor' documentary, poor David seemed so alone and fragile in that, I really thought he would not make it. http://www.mp33pm.co.uk/2011/02/cracked-actor-david-bowie-1974-dvd.html
One of designer friends went to school with David and keeps in touch with him, apparently he comes home at Christmas and they meet up, as he is a Hendrix fan we were gonna discuss with David the Ziggy stardust thing? I do remember an acoustic radio show just before 'Space oddity' him and an acoustic, the guy had immense talent even then.....
