Spot on Lincs, although I have to admit I was a never a big fan of Humble Pie.
I love everything the Small Faces did on Immediate
enjoyed the H Pie set down at the valley on the 'Who bill', the only time I saw them .. dodgy record(s) ..... the Humble Pie 'project' faded but was I dare say, a good earner while it lasted. Look what Frampton went on to achieve career wise and how Steve M became another casualty of sex n drugs n r n r and booze
saw them live at Ronnie Scotts years ago (1994 ish) , unfortunately minus Chick Corea .. Flora & Co ..... simply s u p e r b
Just seen that, Lincs. I've seen Flora and Airto twice at Ronnie's, again without Chick Corea. The first time with a great young saxophonist called Gary Meeks. Both times superb. One of the times I saw them, Airto had this huge scaffold on the stage hung with all sorts of exotic and obscure percussion instruments. Flora Purim is still incredibly sexy.
The ARfm Unsigned Band Show between 7-9pm on www.ARFm.co.uk tonight featuring a new band from Lincs The Finest Hour, plus new releases, gig updates and much much more.
Sorry Curbey...have had a mare trying to log in to the site. Has given me a chance to listen to it a few times now and have a different favourite track each time. There isn't a track as pounding as Let's Go Surfing, but if you liked all of Summertime, then this is a great follow-up. I'm liking it more with every listen!
