Was playing that the other day. Am I right in thinking it was written about Paul Kossoff? Incredibly poignant if true, but a great song anyway
Paul Rodgers denied it.
no idea .. it's Kossoff playing guitar on the track .. I believe though that he was always a troubled young man (drug issues) as were many others in that era .. Wishing Well is indeed a very poignant and rather sad song, but in it's way a very stirring one
Gentle Giant were a British band that combined elements from rock, classical music, folk, jazz, soul, blues and the avante-garde. They were fine musicians. Released in 1974, The Power and The Glory is a concept album about power and corruption.
Haven't given it a proper listening yet as I've been stuck on other albums (I tend to get really hung up on albums and just play them on repeat for about a week) but looking forward to it.
Right now it's The Twilight Sad's "Forget the Night Ahead"
