What's your verdict IA? I'll be purchasing in the next week or two
Listened to it twice and I think it's a v good - more Low than Ziggy, but with a contemporary feel - If you liked the Berlin stuff then you will love this. There are a couple of really cracking songs as well.
Totally different direction and feel to the Next Day (which I also liked) - once again Bowie has reinvented himself. The man is a God!
Got to be the Eagles .. one of the all time great bands that is no more ... RIP Glenn Frey
I guess I'm in the minority (of 1 probably) who never "got" the Eagles. I think the song Hotel California is a solid gold classic, but the rest to me is bland MOR tedium designed to keep your Mum an Aunt quiet on a long drive. No depth, no passion, no balls.

right, I have wasted about half an hour listening again and again to two versions of "for once in my life" trying to decide which is better, Stevie Wonders or Frank Sinatra's. (totally given up with work)
as they're completely different but equally brilliant It was quite obvious a draw would be the conclusion. however, purely because of its ending, saying the second to last line twice, just gave Sinatra the edge. well done Frank. commiserations Steve, so close.

Instead of having the TV turned down whilst doing admin, I put this on (another LP I found in a box of vinyl down the footscray tip a few years ago).
Now, I was only 5 in '75, but I reckon if you were trying to woo a lady back then and put the Slow Side on your record player, you could not fail.
Great Stuff.
