Incidentally, there's next to no chance of the match being moved elsewhere, all that caper was stopped a few years ago.
Northwich's ground is only a few years old, anyway, it's not as if we're going to a couple of cow sheds.
They always used to be one of the bigger north-west non-league sides, but have had bad financial problems over the past few years, and almost got double-relegated this summer. So if we can sell loads of tickets, they'll probably give us loads of tickets. Hopefully.
I actually know a Northwich supporter. They went into Administration last month so hopefully this will be a nice payday for them. Especially if its on TV.
FC United took 1600 there yesterday so tickets shouldn't be a problem.
if it is only one Live game it's a shoe in to be Poulton V Norwich. If it's two then it's either us or Bromley v Colchester. They are the three stand out games, non-league against top League 1 sides.
a) temporary stands behind each goal and the side of main stand - even if the cost is £5 per seat it still means a profit and a captive audience
b) catering - temporary arrangements should be a mix of beer, hot food /drinks and drinks /cold snacks. With as much prepared and ready to go,clear signage and simple pricing it should be possible to serve many.In terms of segregation could Charlton have a marquee in their car park, standing room but with TV's etc for Sky sports but with quick access to the ground - use it at half time with ticket? What about sellers carrying items from a service tray - bit like ice cream at the regal ? It would be a shame to let outside caterers grab income and every effort should be made to keep it in house.
c) coach and car parking - get local businesses on board - ideally a goodwill gesture for perhaps free advertisng in the programme / around the ground but at worst a 50/50 share.
d)souvenirs - in the lead up - level 1 for the town ? Outside the ground at the car parks - ditto match programmes.
e) mascots - one for each player.Pricing realistic and would surely be more attractive if TV was in attendance.
f) ball boys - have a free raffle for the Northwich Town lads and generate some added goodwll.
g) advertising - maximise the opportunity.Much depends upon whether we get TV coverage but ensure pricing differentiates the profile.
h) raffles etc - don't allow the big day to leave these in the wilderness.
i) betting - would one of the chains fancy a spot for the day ? ''
[cite]Posted By: BDL[/cite]I think there will only be one live game. Setanta held the rights with ITV, no one else has taken them, leaving ITV the sole broadcaster.
ITV have the rights to one live game from the first and second round, then two games from the subsequent rounds.
I suspect that given the fact the FA Cup is pretty much all ITV have left (champions league aside), having lost the football league highlights, they will make much more of it than just one game. I expect at least 2 live games, out of Norwich, Colchester, Leeds v Oldham and us.
I have never really been sucked into the FA Cup draw excitement thing until yesterday. Was sitting next to the Bromley Chairman who plays for my vets team after yesterday's game. He was desperate for a League side at home, he would have loved it to be Charlton but the look on his face when they got Colchester at home was one of pure joy. I am afraid to say that I'll be joining him & the rest of my vets team mates & be watching Bromley rather than Charlton FA Cup day.

Thought you'd be watching the S.A. v England Cricket that day.............
just got my yeovil tickets and enquired about northwich. the girl in the ticket office said she thinks we are getting approx 1300 terrace tickets plus a small number of seats.
I think it's bloody brilliant that they see this as the biggest Home game in their history and are thrilled that the mighty Charlton are visiting. They need the money desperately and I hope we play our part and sell out. It'll be embarrassing if we don't as they could sell more than will be available to home fans plus they are expecting us to bring a load. I just hope too that on the day we show them the respect they deserve, not on the pitch, but off it by us, the fans, and don't resort to imbacilic chants like ' shit ground ....' and 'yours grounds too big/small ....' and most of all the 'incest' song. We're Charlton not Millwall so let's act like it eh ??

They're very happy!
Looks like they were about to go into admin, this should help especially if it's on TV.

I am, like a lot of people on here I imagine, suitably hungover today. My computer skills aren't up to scratch!

I thought we had just drawn Norwich Victoria ...... the 'other' Norfolk Club.?
Almost a local derby.
Hats off, I'l give you that.

Northwich is a posh area, they probably regard the likes of you and me as hooligans!
Really wanna do this but money is the preoblem with yeovil a few weeks later
hear hear !
