Elliot - 8 -No chance with goal. At least 3 important stops
    Richardson - 7 - Steady
    Dailly - 8 - Experianced display
Sodje - 8.5 - Key payer at both ends of the pitch MOM
Youga - 8 - Looked comfortable on the ball and an attacking threat
Sam - 7 - Worked hard, rightly replaced late on.
Racon - 7.5 - The nearly man, needs a goal.
Bailey - 7.5 Better than of late. A few lovely balls
Burton - 7 -Different player from last week, running channels and enjoyed the company of McLeod.
Spring - 7 - Some tidy play and good going forward.
McLeod - 7 - Lively and a handfull for the Hudders defence. Pleased for him that he got the goal
Semedo - 6 - Steady. Lucky Hudders didn't score when he tried to dribble out on edge of our box and lost possession.

    Waggstaff - 7.5
  • Elliot - 7-
    Richardson - 7
    Dailly - 7

    Bailey - 8
    Burton - 7
    Spring - 7
    McLeod - 7
    Semedo - 7
  • Elliot - 7 - good stop from earlier free kick. Still needs to work on his communication
Richardson - 7 steady as ever
Dailly - 7.5 - given his toughest test of the season and stood up to it well
Sodje - 7.5 moments of class and moments of madness - had a 10min spell in the first where he lost the plot
Youga - 8.5 - MOM. Quality. Confidence sky high.
Sam - 7 - much better than last week.
Racon - 7.5 - he is so good on the ball. Much more influence once Semedo came on.
    Bailey - 7 - steady game.
Burton - 7 - looked fitter today. Led the line well. Not given any help by the idiot with the whistle
    Spring - 6 - not overly impressed.
McLeod - 7 - got better as the game wore on and took his goal well.
Semedo - 8 - really got us going. Broke up play and was an outlet. We've really missed him.
  • Elliot - 7

    Sodje -7
    Youga -7.5
    Sam -7
    Racon -7
    Bailey -7
    Burton -7
    Spring - 6
    McLeod -7.5
    Semedo - 7
  • Elliot - 7 Good stops, dealt with all the high stuff but a few poor clearances

Richardson - 7.5 Solid and industrious. Always looking to attack or play a positive forward ball

Dailly - 7 Again had a hard days work to do but stuck to it

Sodje - 7.5 A goal and an assist(?) agressive as ever and threw himself at all their corners and long throws

Youga - 8 One error late on but dominated his winger all game and bombed forward.

Sam - 7 Back to early season form. Maybe has more room and options in a 442. Wasn't sure why he was taken off as was getting beyond them constantly

Racon - 6.5 lots of clever stuff but no as imposing as previously and seems to have lost his shooting boots.

Bailey - 7.5 Worked and worked and worked not just wide but in the middle as well

Burton - 7 more like the old (ie first 6 games) Deon. Having Spring and Izele near him help but he knows very little trick in the book and used most of them. Shamefully under-protected by the ref.

Spring - 7 Tidy and played the simple ball. Didn't think it was a foul for the free kick they scored from either. Unfortunate to be subbed but Semedo is a much better holding player.

McLeod - 7 Wonderful finish. That was not an easy chance by any means. His pace and running stretched them all day. His touch isn't always great and his passing too often delayed but a wonderful chest down and turn to beat the defender before he blasted over. Stupid, stupid booking.

Semedo - 8 as Joni sang "don't it always to go, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone". Just got on with the simple stuff and added much needed muscle to the side. With him and Sodje teams will not push us around.

Wagstaff 7 Seems stronger every game and works hard. Always looking to make something happen.

Mooney - too little time to score him but I like his running and touch. More please.

Parky 9 Made big decisions on Sodje, Izele for Shelvey, bringing Semedo on and at HT and to go 442. They all came off.

The Ref; Where do they get them?
  • Elliot - 7.5 - some great saves had no chance with their goal.
Richardson - 7 - Steady st the back and steady going forward
Dailly - 7 - Solid few wayward passes though
Sodje - 7.5 - Well taken goal, and was clearly struggling with a knock but game through the game well
Youga - 8.5 - MOM, the best left back iv seen in a charlton shirt for some years and a transformation from the Youga of old
Sam - 7 - the 76 minute man!! some good runs and crosses, steady game
Racon - 7 - first half was a bit all over the place, 2nd half was fantastic shame doesnt know where the net is
Bailey - 7.5 - Captains display drives us on and on.
Burton - 7 - Poor first half good 2nd, thought he should have come off for Mooney instead of Izale
Spring - 7 - Didnt play badly but once replaced we looked a completely different team
McLeod - 8 - Ran tirelessly deserved his goal was man handled all game by their CBs but never shyed away
Semedo - 7.5 Boy have we missed his composure in the middle of the park
  • Elliot - 7
    Richardson - 7
    Dailly - 7
    Sodje - 7.5
    Youga - 7.5
    Sam - 6.5
    Racon - 8.5
    Bailey - 7
    Burton - 8
    Spring - 7
    McLeod - 7.5
    Semedo - 8
  • Elliot - 7.5, a couple of good saves otherwise a decent match and no chance with the goal.
Richardson - 7.5, solid game made some good passes and played positively.
Dailly - 7.5, solid as ever.
Sodje - 8, scored and ran his socks off, complements Dailly well.
Youga - 8, looks a different player to the Youga of the first few games.
Sam - 7.5, played well but tired a little
Racon - 7, got forward well but needs some coaching on how to score goals!
Bailey - 7.5, industrious as ever, did a lot of hard unselfish work, never went missing.
Burton - 7, had an effective rather than inspired game.
Spring - 7, had an assist, worked hard but is limited
McLeod - 8, took the goal well, always looked for the ball and looks a better player when starting a game. Dumb booking.
Semedo - 7.5, welcome back, no disrespect to Spring, but he is a cut above and I think we needed the bit extra that he brings to the game.

    Other than that, great game.
  • Elliot - 7 solid enough
Richardson - 7 really like him. Dependable and an attacking threat
Dailly - 7.5 solid as usual
Sodje - 8 imperious at the back with magnificent heading
Youga - 8 mom. poor mans Ashley cole. Quick strong and threatening going forward. Decent defender too
Sam - 6.5 needs to learn to make runs when others have the ball - tends to stop and call for it rather than pressing on defenders
Racon - 7 superb feet but decision making slightly slow.
Bailey - 7.5 tigerish sums him up well
Burton - 8 lots of effort for little reward but seemed to enjoy having a fellow striker
Spring - 7 busy and neat - no frills
McLeod - 7.5 improved as the game went on and answered some critics. Needs more game time but improving
Semedo - 8 showed how much we missed him. No criticism of Spring but Jose is so much stronger. Answered the question of "can he play in a 442" and gives bailey / racon licence to attack

Parky - 9 spot on today

Huddersfield - fair play indeed. Broke quickly and dangerously and were a tough test. Great to see a team come and have a go and o suspect they'll be in the mix come May

ref 3 started ok but then went very wobbly indeed! Peculiar decisions

Richardson - 7 sound and stuck at it well
Dailly - 7.5 commanding as ever
Sodje - 7 just for the goal!
Youga - 8 my MOM again. Good going forward but covered back well against a pacy opponent
Sam - 6.5 good flashes but errors too.
Racon - 7 6.5 first half 7.5 2nd half when Semedo came on
    Bailey - 7 more prominent 2nd half
Burton - 6.5 retained the ball well but not as mobile as he has been probably the injury is affecting him
Spring - 6.5 some good passes but not Semedo!
McLeod - 7 worked hard and deserved his goal. Wish he'd grow a brain though. Boooked AGAIN for removing his shirt!
Semedo - 7.5 the difference between winning and not. Would probably have been my MOM had he played the full game.

Is not having a defender on the post down to the keeper, the captain or the manager? We used to have one on both sides for practically all free kicks - I liked that we always seemed far more solid.

    Elliot - 7.5
    Richardson - 7
    Dailly - 7
    Sodje - 7.5
Youga - 8 MOM again. He's becoming a really mighty player for us, defending and going forward. As someone said, the self-confidence is just oozing out of him at the moment.
    Sam - 7
    Racon - 6.5
    Bailey - 7.5
    Burton - 7
    Spring - 7
McLeod - 7.5 Especially good in second half, after he'd changed out of the pink clown boots at h/t and put some more serious footwear on!
Semedo - 7 Not quite back to his best but give him time
Wagstaff - 7 Tempted to give him 7.5. Really got stuck in, I thought, and showed good skill. V reassuring for when the injuries/suspensions start piling up.

As for Parky, 10/10 for being bold enough to implement the fabled plan b from the outset and for dropping Shelvey. Really didn't think he would do it, so full credit to him. Also liked the way at 59 mins, when we'd just had a prolonged period of high-tempo assaults on their goal, he told them from the touchline to calm it down a bit.
  • Elliot - 7.5
    Richardson - 7
    Dailly - 7
    Sodje - 7.5
    Youga - 8.5
    Sam - 7
    Racon - 7.5
    Bailey - 7.5
    Burton - 6.5
    Spring - 7
    McLeod - 8
    Semedo - 7.5
  • Elliot - 6 Nothing he could do for the goal, brilliant free kick and did well to keep the one out before, however made a complete shank of a clearance, other than that a good display
Richardson - 7 Along with the man underneath the best signing Parkinson has made, really rate this bloke
Dailly - 7 As above, very astute signing and is the core of the defence
Sodje - 6 Brilliant in the air, made a few daft moves but fairly solid and played through injury
Youga - 6 For all his tricks he still does not put any confidence in me, he is improving though and as long as he does not pull out of a challenge again while he is with us I will give him his due
Sam - 7 playing with an injury but still weighted his passes well and covered a lot of ground and was a threat
Racon - 6/7 Our best footballer, carries space around with him, never gives up, and is the one player we should not sell. However, looks much better with Semedo next to him
Bailey - 7 looked very assured, played some nice balls, his work rate is second only to Luke Varneys he has the makings of a Charlton legend. He has set his standards pretty high
Burton - 7 did nothing wrong and looked dangerous
Spring - 6 again, did nothing wrong but is not Jose Semedo. Can't play him and Racon in the same XI
McLeod - 6 glad he changed his boots as it looked for all to see he was wearing tennis pumps covered in olive oil during the first half, however took his goal well and stretched their centre halves
Semedo - 8 We need this bloke to stay fit, possibly the most important player on out books next to Racon. Won us the second half, nullified their midfield with his pure presence
