  • What I want is a plain white mug with the basic badge on it.
  • I had the old map bootbag lovely till all the print rubbed off!

i have a couple of these, these staple products should always be available, along with the scored at the valley underwear..
  • [cite]Posted By: wwtone[/cite]Best must be my brown pottery 'Back to the Valley' mug which I use every day , goes in the dish washer and looks as good as the day I bought it.
Worst , the black mug with the Charton badge which turned into just a black mug with no badge in weeks !!

    Seconded

Got a few of the "Sometimes dreams come true" stuff too - panoramic pic of the valley and a fountain pen which I paid £30 for (was crap though)
  • Still have my tall red mug with just the logo on it...and its still looks good after countless cups of tea every day and must be 6-7 years old.....the most recent black mug is now grey after just a year, utter garbage. My favourite shirt is the seahawk blue and denim one, but mine is now a purple and blue.....the seahawk bit is badly miscoloured which is a shame. Also love my green hooped third shirt from 97 and the white and red away kit from 2000.

Hate the centenary shirt, looks like nobody put any thought in to it whatsoever.

I collect our away shirts, so if anyone has anything unusual, give me a shout.....3rd kit from 93 in particular (White with red collar and Viglen logo) and anything earlier, but not home shirts, Also looking for the half white and half green mauve stripey job...prefer size L.

But did you ever get the signed picture of Darren Bent that was supposed to come with it ? I didn't

    Got one !
[cite]Posted By: RedZed333[/cite]In the 70's the club used to sell 'silk' scarves with imprints of the club logo all over it and six inch long tassles neatly strung on each end...

After one wash it was just a plain red scarf and one or two straggly bits of string...
Had one - best worn tied around your wrist - had matching flat cap as well from what I remember.

I also had some CAFC cufflinks for a bit but they fell apart very quickly

    Best away kit ever!

    Shame everyone claim's it's a rubby shirt.
  • Worst is everything in the women's clothing range currently in the "Superstore" - never was a store so inappropriately named.

Who remembers the scarf from the mid 70s that had pictures of all the players on it? I had one (I was a school-kid at the time) but it vanished into thin air once I left home.
  • My matching chip bag hat and scarf which were half red half blue, if u did the scarf up wrong u were mistaken for millwall, whoever thought blue was a good idea for an away shirt...

As a kid buying the little player photographs from the club shop pocket money Friday morning straight round the clubshop to get a player I didn't have.

Miss the shirts being wrapped and running home to rip them open and put on, going in everyday after school asking the stocky guy with glasses and balding if the new kit was in.. thinking the white quaser away shirt was the greatest kit ever made sleeping in it socks and shorts for a whole week..

Uve gota have a charlton pint glass.. won't drink my beer at home from nowt else.

no pl didn't get mine either :o(
  • How very lucky we are today. Some of us are old enough to remember the tiny tin shed where you could buy some truely awful Charlton tat if you wished to. We did. Plastic sports bags were the print rubbed of in seconds , "silk" scarfs were the same thing happened, canvas holdalls that faded if they saw day light, and plastic penants that curled up if the temp ever got to 71 degrees. As for football tops like the red and black strips you only got to get one if Woodruffs in Bexleyheath sold em.
