@Henry Irving. it is a pity, is it not, that for the purpose of clarity @CafcFacts did not set the figure of 119 in context by saying this reflected the club's heavy reliance on loan players, short term contracts to injury-prone players, and rushing academy players into the first team in the hope of a quick sale within the year, all of which have characterised the Duchatelet era.
Without that context, there will be those who look at this stat and think "what a beneficent owner those fans have, buying so many players for the team"; Addicks know better!0 -

People could see what a great benifical owner we had bringing us such fine players as Murty, Nobel, Parrot, Purso, Fleetwood and Sinclair.

He’s the first Charlton player to play in a league game since I can recall having a clue about anything prolly 40 years ago that I’d never ever heard of till he came on .
i liked the few touches he had and his movement , this kid has a bit about him or I’ve got my new owner rose tinted glasses on !0 -
