  • Mambo (No 5)'s 'work experience' is perfect from our point of view. Can play competitive games for Welling, and we can get him back whenever we need him. Simples.

Great to have so many academy players holding their own, and another one has just scored!
  • Yeeeeeeess! Great stuff from Wagstaff. 4-1!
  • You'll be able to see the goals on the BBC website.

I'm surprised they bothered, but they have.
  • Saw the goal on here before heard it on the radio.
  • Are there any highlights of this on TV this week?

    Just meant CL
  • Fleetwood scored a goal in the 90th to send Exeter-Swindon Town to penalties.... and then missed a penalty to confirm Swindon Town's advance.

    Oh right silly me ;-)
  • If all the commentaries are going to be on the internet via the BBC (London or the away station) what is the point of CAFC Player. It was different ;last year when there seemed to be an embargo on Charlton commentaries on the internet. Anyone know the position?
  • Anyone else really dissapointed we won?!
  • [cite]Posted By: PalaceHater[/cite]Anyone else really dissapointed we won?!

    Never!!
  • Just see it a bit of a distraction, imagine if Bailey or someone gets injured in one of these games and f*cks us over for the league etc!

You must be joking... Winning becomes a habit, just like losing. There is also the point of a trip to wembley
  • Lets make the most of it, we never have a cup run, and this is the only one we've got a chance of winning. I' d love another trip to Wembley.

  • And the fact that it builds confidence for the younger/fringe players incase we do need them later in the campaign

I am looking forward to having more opportunities for the reserves to get first team experience. Izale seemed to play well tonight and have at least two good passes in -- one to Shelvey that was blocked and the one that Wagstaff hammered home.
  • can't be dissapointed after a win, especially as in our last 5 league games we have only won 1, not critisising the league form, norwich, southampton & leeds were all unlucky...but as said above winning is a habit and good to get back into that before Saturday's game. Barnet are a decent team in League 2 so no push overs therefore a 4-1 win is an excellent result.
  • I agree its decent for the ressies etc. However, what happens if we go through a few rounds and we have a league game on the sat before and after. What takes priority etc
  • I think we are about to get the goals on SSN
  • Or maybe not...

The league is obviously the priority, but I don't see how any negatives can be taken from winning a game of football.
  • Didnt say it was a negative, just said personally I was a bit dissapointed we had gone through. Was glad we went out in the League Cup just dont think our very thin squad need extra games as the league hots up
  • i'm with you Palacehater .... it is all about the league and i'm not exactly agonised to have this trophy on charltons CV....... we should never have fallen to this farking pony level

I cannot imagine the gnashing of teeth on here if we had lost tonight.
