Only watched the second half on the net but thought we looked great. Izale looked full of running when he came on. Dare I say this, but he reminded me a little of Darren Bent ... His overall game not as good, obviously, but the way he ran and chased down and the positions he was getting into.
Really looking forward to seeing him start in the JPT on Tuesday now, and a few other reserves, because despite the hiccup at Colchester, I think a possble lack of depth when injuries/suspenions kick in is the only thing that is going to stop us going up...well done, Parky!
Just got back to Hotel in Leeds. Wind v. strong. Ball going high from goal kicks and defensive headers a lot. Leeds seemed to hjave the better of the game for much of the 1st half, but we got better as the second half went on. If we had a Darren Bent goalscorer wewould have been 3 up.
Spoke to Leeds supporter on bus back to Leeds and he was amazed that Shelvey was only 17, both from his stature and his amturity on the ball. Some talk among Leeds supporters about the Guardian's stories this week about the ownership of Leeds.
Charlton crowd very good snd supportive very little anti Leeds chanting apart from "you're not famous any more" and "your stadiums too big for you" pointing to a closed off layer of the South Stand. Lots of VFR and Red Army
[cite]Posted By: cafc_se7[/cite]We were the much better side, all Leeds had was a hoof and they couldnt string 2 passes together. They are obviously top of the league for one reason...pure luck due to the last minute winners they have had. Us on the other hand, professional, classy and unlucky not to nick a winner i thought!Onwards and upwards charlton.
Parky deserves all the credit he gets for being able to lift up his side after tuesday, prove it was just a blip and outplay the team supposedly top of the league!
This league is ours for the taking, i truely believe that!
What the fuck were you watching, you troubled our keeper once in the whole match i thought both teams looked average at best and the only winner today was the wind, if we had the full team out today and not lost Becchio we would have one. Can't do with fucking armchair fans commenting on games.

And I can't stand helmets coming on here - so do one.
Oaky am i allowed to comment? Because i actually think that getting up at 3am on a Sunday morning to watch a live-streaming of my club actually demonstrates a reasonable level of loyalty, thus giving me (and other 'armchair' fans - a lot of whom either cannot afford to attend or are not in the country) the right to comment? I think so. I would rather read well constructed and articulate comments from 'armchair' fans than drivel from cretins like you so please do us all a favour, follow the order from Off_it, and do one.
Just back from the game. A very good performance by the boys, especially after the woes of Tuesday night.
Sodje was fantastic. One or two scares from Beckford, but not too much of a threat from Leeds overall. The wind was a huge factor, and the fact that we got to the interval on level terms meant that we were always likely to get something out of the game as we had the wind advantage in the second half.
The line-up was a bit different from normal in the second half. Wagstaff as a direct replacement for Sam, but Bailey moving into central midfield with Racon going wide left. It worked well enough, although Racon does look a bit tired to me and not at the top of his game.
There weren't a lot of really clear chances. Beckford's first half shot, and near miss as he lunged at a ball across the six-yard box were matched by good long-range efforts from Shelvey and Spring. There were a couple of decent headed chances too, but nothing too special. McLeod was lively without ever really suggesting that he could get the decisive goal.
The general chat from the Leeds fans I spoke to was that we had played the better football in very difficult conditions.
Top moment was Sodje flinging his shirt into our section of the crowd. Great to see that passion from the clear MotM.
