I'm missing the oldham game to go out there. To be fair as said above it's club over country but oldham at home is a game i'm prepared to shirk for a jaunt like this. Must admit it feels strange having the club v country debate for real for the first time ever!
Flying into kiev friday afternoon via riga with two villa and a blues fan then the overnight sleeper to dnepro. Got all day saturday in dnepro, a return sleeper overnight after the game and sunday in kiev. Home monday via oslo would you believe. It's going to be a cracker!
Def not miss a Charlton home game for England, But would recommend going to World Cup, Went to Spain in 82, Robson quickest goal in world cup history, possibly still is? was behind the goal when it went in against France, Spanish old bill straight in with batons steaming in straight away, happy days!
We fly out Fri morning (austrian airways via Vienna) at 6am and get to Kiev approx 1.30 pm Friday. We don't get the sleeper till about 11.45pm I think, so will be meeting up sith some other lads for a session in Kiev till then.
What are you two both doing in Kiev on the Friday? Any recommended areas to go? We are probably going to stay close to the main station.
We get to Denpro about 6.30am on the Sat and have a hotel there for the Sat night and come back on the sleeper Sunday night/monday morning, flying home Monday evening.
Thinkn it could be a lively one, going by the probelms the English clubs have had in Ukraine before and Hibs had problems in Denpro a few years back.
It's these kind of trips that are long remembered though.
I agree i think it will certainly be an eye opener, especially on that train. I imagine plenty of ukrainians will be making the same journey so it could be a heads down job.
I think i'm probably on the same outbound sleeper as you from memory Organiser.... we're not around til tea time though
[cite]Posted By: The Organiser[/cite]If so, what are your travel plans? We fly to Kiev Fri lunchime, back monday night with an overnight sleeper train to Dnepro in between.
Be interested to know if any other Charlton are making the trip other than the lads I know.

Cheers.
Flying to Kiev on Friday with British Airways from Heathrow, getting a coach (arranged by Charlton fans forum member Gary Davenport) to Dnepro and back and flying back on Monday. I think we're only spending nights in Kiev, god knows what the arrangements are. Should be a goodun!
England games don't clash with the top 2 tiers, this is the first time that I'll be missing a home game at the expense of England and this trip was organised before the season started.
Just out of interest, will the people who are against this be at Leeds on Saturday?
Jog on Harry done my stripes 30 years ago, when I didn't have a bird or mortgage and lived with mummy & daddy as well.
My lot are flying to Poland then getting a train to Kiev, as it I didn't want to take an extra day off of work I stumped up the extra £50 or so and got a direct flight to Kiev. Since then they flight as been missed about (Wizz Air) and they are now paying more than me for their scenic route! It also mean that they won't get in until 1am on Saturday morning, whereas I'll be there at 3pm Friday! So no idea what I'll do! I've been given orders to get some beer for the coach, hopefully i'll bump in to some other guys i know as I'm not sure if Kiev is a place that you should explore on your own!
